Some thoughts:

I hope we find a way to get Houston on the field. I love that kid's ability and motor.

Wow, there is as much talent in that secondary as I ever remember at Marshall.

Interested to see how Yurachek has matured over the off-season. Showed glimpses of incredible potential last year.

Clint Van Horn is such a great story. Kid just kept working and doing what was needed of him when called upon.

Our z receivers are going to be difficult to cover. That size. Wow.

Massaqoui and Thompson have both shown potential. Now it is time to lead and excel from the DE spot.

Anyone notice only 3 Seniors on the 2 deep on the OL this year and only 2 are starters. Talk about building for the future

Also the lack of size upfront on defense. I know our defense is predicated on speed but we are smaller then I thought we was

I don't understand the #2 slot receiver listed as Angelo Jean-Louis OR Deandre Reaves. From what I have observed and looking at the stats, Reaves is not in the same league as Jean-Louis. I know that AJL had gotten into the coaches doghouse, but restoring his #1 jersey number says that all has been forgiven.

I have a hard time believing we won't see Houston or Gant a good bit this year.

Size isn't bad really. I remember many times having DE's that were 225-235. Starters are about 250 each now. 285+ on the inside. They aren't huge, but they aren't tiny either.

Will be interesting to see how DL plays out. From those stats, we don't have a "run stopper" to plug in other than maybe Samuel (and I've never thought of that being his biggest strength). Huskey can definitely provide support from LB if we get him in the right spots, but I always like having that 300# guy stopping up the middle on short distance.

Worried about the DL and run stopping and CB coverage. By this we lose 4 starters on O and 6 on D after 2015. The D really needs the backups to have quality time and quality play in 2015 to prep them for starting roles in 2016.

A very strong positive for Doc, IMO, is his commitment to giving backups quality PT. We rotate a lot throughout the game which makes it harder on a spotter, but better for a team. ;)
