"PRESIDENTIAL ALERT" - NOTHING COULD BE MORE APPROPRIATE
ASIDE FROM - LOCK THEM UP.

I am making fun of the clowns who were bitching beforehand, yet you call me the clown....you are without a doubt the dumbest SOB ever to post here.

that means a lot coming from apartment boy from Indiana that thinks he is "to the right of Eisenhower" Listen, we get it that you and a few others are on here to try and feel intelligent and for some feeling of self edification and worth...….feel good!

Just ignore Raoul's rants. He's obviously suffering from a bad case of Nerd-Rage.

I got the alert. I can't think of a better way to communicate to an entire country in the event of an emergency, terrorist attack, etc, than this system. It was suppose to hit 95% of the smart phones. That spreads a web of communication over the country that is unparalleled in reach.

Can you imagine the increased vigilance that this steps up during a terrorist attack? If they're trying to track down a certain car or license plate you literally have nowhere to hide. If quick info on a tsunami, earthquake, or hurricane needs disseminated what could be more thorough.

If it misssd some phones then fix it. That's why they call it a test.

Didn't even receive it.

It's a different set-up for natural disasters. Those are county-based alerts, very targeted in scope.

The national system is one I hope is never used. I don't think it would have been useful on 9/11, except when the order was given for all flights to land. It would have been helpful to let lots of people know the people they were expecting at the airport might be going somewhere else.

I think this is for a big chemical attack, nuke attack, EMP attack, or the McRib is back.

Me either but they do. It is like fat lard gristle with some sauce on it. Nasty

I think when they launched in the 80's, smokehouse joints weren't as commonplace as they are now, (unless you were down South) so people thought it was just like eating ribs.

It hit non-smart phones as well.

This guy knows the real danger.

I’m curious how the system would work if this kind of attack was carried out. My guess is they would fall back on the original radio EAS method.
They would have some time to get the alert off assuming we caught the missile launch assuming that wa the method of delivery. It also may not wipe out entire grids and sections of the country.
