A welcome additional degree in the area of sports medicine. Should be of interest to those students seeking their career in that area.
The national athletic trainer association just passed changes to their accreditation process. They are going to an entry level masters degree, meaning they will be getting rid of bachelors degrees. Every athletic training program will be moving to masters level. With that said its a long time coming. I know when I was in athletic training they were discussing moving to a strictly entry level masters degree. Hopefully with the new sports med research center we can get some quality staff and grad assistants.
