It could get the poor folk.
Pretty much all refrigerators made in the past 10 years have filters installed to filter the water being dispensed and used for ice. Then there's the filters you install on the kitchen sink faucet head, and then all the water pitchers like Brita which filter the water.
But Lithium isn't without side effects.

A little lithium never hurt anyone. Except those poor bastards that got the fallout from Castle Bravo.
