As reported in the H-D, Slack has passed at 89. A rebounding machine was he. I know it was a different time, however, the fact remains he still holds the single season record for RPG. One of the all-time MU greats. Godspeed, Mr. Slack.

HD again missed the mark on career stats for Charlie. He is the runaway #1 career leader in rebounds, nearly a 1000 more boards than #2 J R Vanhoose......Russ Lee & Bob Allen make the list, even though they only played 3 seasons!
That's quite the list of Herd BB royalty. I think we'll never see stats (RPG) like this ever again. At least not in my lifetime.
He was Jannson's personal benefactor at Marshall. John Sutherlin (W/ Big Green) would always update us on him and his interest in Jannson every time we came into town. What a great guy. RIP Mr. Windex. you've earned it.
