I see an early chance for rain in our opening game in this weeks long-range forecast. Something we don't want for the game.

We have had bad luck with rain the last few years. Not what you want on home opener especially after last year. Hope it stays dry

Tony says the majority of the rain will hit Saturday and drying out by Sunday. So we are in for a soaker on home opener. Harvey just so happens to be kicking back towards us just in time for gameday.

Weather report on the Tuesday evening news on Charleston's channel 8 indicated good weather Weds and Thurs turning bad Friday and worst day weather wise will be Saturday. 2 inches of rain forecast for Charleston-Huntington. Perhaps the Deadskins will forget to bring their swimming gear from Oxford. Team that wins the turnover battle could very well be the winner in what is shaping up to be a "slogfest"!

Sad that the home opening "Green Out" could be a "Rain Out" and should Miami win a crowd killer for some the rest of the season. Just saying.

Even if it rains, I still wouldn't mind a lil rain for the game. It may work to our advantage on the football field. Just drink on your adult beverage more and you will be fine, it's football season.

Forecast seems to be improving... Weather channel has moved the precipitation mainly into Friday night and Saturday during the day... the 7 p.m. hour Saturday says 25% chance now where yesterday morning it said 50%... Lets hope that trend continues.

Rhino what are you looking at? I just went to the weather channel and now the forecast for rain Saturday has moved from 60% to 90%. It's gonna be wet!

The possibility of rain doesn't concern me at all. I've sat in the rain many times to watch football. One more time won't kill me.

Sounds like the mayor needs to stop fund raising long enough to get the sewers cleaned out on 3rd and 5th Avenues.

Ah, GreenDuke, give ole Mayor a break. Can't you see that he has more than a plateful going on with all the massive development going on along the Riverfront downtown, . . .uh, with all the ACF and other redevelopment just north of 3rd Avenue across from MU, . . . uh, with all the redevelopment springing up almost daily along Hal Greer in the former public housing/slum area, . . . uh, with all the progress being made in locating land and finalizing the financial package for a new baseball stadium for Huntington. Geeze, you guys must expect Hizzoner to work 28 hours a day or something!! When did you folks in Huntington start expecting TANGIBLE RESULTS instead of talk, talk, talk??

You mean we have a Mayor in Huntington? I thought he was just the PR guy for city council.

Williams used Huntington to meet his long term personal desires. He has started washing his hands of all the city problems. Face it, its over.

If it was gonna be warm and rain it wouldn't be as bad but a high of 66 and rain is not fun. I look for about 14,000 in attendance. Will probably be worst attended home opener for many years.

You guys are supposed to get half and inch of rain or so. It is a football game. 66 and rain to sit through a meaningless in the overall scheme of things football game is not that bad a of deal.

Might want to think of some other events going on in the country and that might put it in perspective.

Will there be inflatables for the kids again this year? At this game specifically.. i isually get an email talking about it but dont recall seeing one.. wife wamts bring to bring our 2 toddlers down but with it being cold and wet she wants indoor stuff :)

Still at 80% Saturday in the morning into afternoon then showers in the evening with temps in mid-60s. Come prepared!

Well since the Italians attacked Pearl Bailey all I can say is bring your wet gear. NEA now says 80% during the day and 60% during the game. Bring it on. May be the equalizer we need.

WSAZ is saying most of the rain will be gone by evening. At least it won't be a downpour. Let's hope!
