The first house I rented in Jeffersonville was on Pearl Street. It was right about where the ramp up to the bridge starts. It was a crap hole, but was right next to a liquor store and old convenience store - also now gone. Tearing that stuff down was definitely an improvement.
Back when I was there they were talking about putting shops and everything else on the bridge. Glad they kept it simple. We were on it Sunday morning and it looks like it is well used.
Years ago, I went to Jeffersonville for spring break. Remember going to some late night movie in Louisville (The Vogue ???) to see Return of the Living Dead. I think me and my friend were the only two in the place that weren't stoned. Also had my first taste of White Castle.
