I've been asked to provide ideas on improvement for gameday experience for uncc. Please let me know. One thing was point size on scoreboard needs to be larger, 3rd down screaming videos need turned down , announcer difficult to understand (my thoughts)

Actually show a replay. I swear they showed less than the video operator at Marshall. One thing I did like was the dollar refill for the souvenir cup. It was $4 and you could come back and refill it once for a dollar. That's something we should do

Probably not possible, but they really need to lower the field level. Unless you're sitting on the top row on the 50 yard line, the sightlines are really bad. We were in section 130 row 12 and I spent most of the game watching it on the scoreboard because you can't see what's going on the field except the QB or safeties (depending on who's on offense on that side of the field.)

The 3rd down yelling on the video board was so loud an obnoxious. My wife and I both cringed then laughed every time they did it. I also liked that they were trying to start a first down tradition with Norm The Miner, but they only did it part of the time. I agree that the sight lines were bad, but I was also on the 5th row.

Overall, we had a great time. I hate tailgating in a parking garage, though.

A few hopefully helpful criticisms...

1. The parking was a nightmare - No signs telling people where they could and could not park. Only one "cash lot" that was on the other side of the campus and was barely marked until you literally drove into the line of traffic waiting to turn. More signage is a must and more parking close to the stadium would be a bonus.

2. Third down videos were awful... Too loud, being played right before the snap on a couple of occasions. As mentioned above, need to show actual replays after key plays as well.

3. Small, white numbers on a scoreboard were really hard to see and I was sitting close to the scoreboard end.

4. Band needs to be louder (more brass and percussion).

I attended the Big Green tailgate & would highly recommend
it for 2017. Great location @ Paradise Par 3. Parking was ample, food & cash bar operated smoothly. BIG props to Doug Riley and the Charlotte alums for putting on a 1st class affair. Ran into Hammy, who is always great to s/w. One thing about Mike - I have never known an AD with such good people skills + a genuineness that is uncommon in that procession IMO. As a Bonus, 2 of our Completely cute cheerleaders asked if they could sit @ our table so they could grab a quick bite. If I could figure out how to post a pic on here I would.
Concur on the critiques. On the + side, UNCC has a great
sound system!

I have to say Rhino that I thought their band sounded Great!
They played 2 MJ standards - Off the Wall & Thriller (very Aprapo for Halloween!) & the entire band do set down their instruments & did about a 20-25 second improv dance routine - excellent!

I thought the band was good too... I just had trouble hearing them pre-game. A little more volume would have helped me out personally.

I thought they were hard to hear as well, but I would bet that's due to the relative low number of band members compared to most. With this being the band's first year, that's to be expected. It will come with time. I thought they were great for a first year band.

1. If you sat in 129 or 130 like I did, you probably have permanent hearing loss. The volume was beyond uncomfortable, on the 3rd down yell we had to cover our ears. The music and commercials were so loud we couldn't talk. At one point I told my wife just text me, I cannot hear a word you are saying. She was 2 feet away. I suspect those end caps on the scoreboard have multiple speakers, and that one of them is angled directly toward the closest sections on the end. Maybe if they could just point those toward toe field it would be a more reasonable level? (we eventually moved to midfield and the sound was reasonable there). But it was ridiculous.
2. Rent cushioned seat cushions/chairbacks... don't you know that is a great source of revenue?? I haven't sat on metal bleachers in 20 years... assumed I could rent something comfortable. Would have paid $15 easily.

Otherwise, nice stadium and experience, and staff was friendly. Judy Rose runs a great athletic department.

"STAND UP CHARLOTTE, IT'S THIRD DOWN!!!!!" will haunt my nightmare until the day I die. Other than that we had a great time. On a side note I think they should reconsider the name of the dance squad. "The Gold Dusters" sounds too much like a pre-stripper program. :)

My wife and I were wondering where the stripper poles were. I'm sure they are a nice bunch of ladies, but I agree about the name. Not to mention the fact that a dance team like that are typically found at basketball games, not college football games, but UNCC is a basketball school, so there you go.
