Will do a show at the Keith-albee in April. Styx might be with them. A lot of different members but Kevin Cronin the . lead singer leads the band. Gotta get tickets. Alice Cooper was great at the Keith albee
I think he woke up from a coma and does not realize we are in 2019.When? There’s no mention of it on their website.
Heard it from a friend who, heard from a friend who, heard it from anotherWhen? There’s no mention of it on their website.
*guessWell quess by now you all have heard REO is playing the Keith albee.
I saw REO in Charleston back in the 70's. Think they might have been the backup band, but don't remember, because everybody there had a doobie in their hand. Probably Kansas was the other band. Them, or ELO.
Disturbed in September is more my cup of tea.
You might be right. I remember Dave Mason opening up for the Eagles, Loverboy for Van Halen (I believe one year). It was Manfred Mann that opened up for ELO when they were huge. Kansas just seems like they were in Charleston all the time. I'm looking at some of my old concert ticket stubs right now, and my Eagles ticket (in 1975) was $8.00.REO was likely with ZZ Top

Early 70's is when I attended the most concerts. There used to be a "fest" of some sort in Charleston (summerfest, octoberfest??) and they would have concerts at the time. I was thinking a couple times there were 3 bands that played at one concert, something like Foghat, Mountain, Uriah Heep. Does that ring familiar with you?
Charleston Stearnwheel Regatta Festival. Used to be as wild as they come. They used to have some good concerts. I only went once, maybe twice, but did go when Dan Seals and Ricky Skaggs were performing, and it was in '85, when both of them were in their prime. Lots of drunk folk down on Kanawha Boulevard, and I might have been one of them.Early 70's is when I attended the most concerts. Regatta?
Don't know anything about this however the Broadway show Rock of Ages is at the Keith on April 8. It's full of 80's rock music.

I saw that. Gonna be out of town for Slayer. On the fence for Rob and Marilyn. If that is your taste you might also enjoy:
May 13: Slayer & Lamb of God
July 12: Rob Zombie & Marilyn Manson
saw those bands. First time I saw REO in Charleston they were the headliners. Saw Sweet and Walter Egan open for REO. Sweet had fox on the run and ballroom blitz and Walter had Magnet and steelEarly 70's is when I attended the most concerts. Just what I grew up listening to. The 80’s metal scene was my thing in high school (I’ll be 52 in a few months). How do you guys listen to that shit? It is awful.
