You mean, Fiat-Chrysler, the Italian owned firm?

Well, the Italians are white. Sort of.

But I thought the deal was make America strong again - NOT MAKE AMERICA MEEK AGAIN. STILL SUCKERS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

Jeep...my bank account is shrinking just thinking about having to replace wheel bearings, struts, ball joints, and tie rods once a month.

At least Hyundai is South Korean who fought on our side unlike the Germans and the Japs.

Hell, I had to think of something. ;)

Do you have a Wrangler? There is stuff much better than stock on the aftermarket.
The old jeeps(wranglers, etc.) are pretty solid. Not a lot to them. Pretty basic vehicles. I had a 1999 Grand Cherokee and the transmission was shit. Went out at 118,000 and they told me I was lucky to get that out of it. Had a Liberty and same issue. Transmission went out. Have a 2001 Wrangler. Ratty old jeep and runs like a tank. It gets the shit beat out of it. Going to look at another one. Hell, I don't know why. I never was a Chrysler fan. Just something about Jeeps.

For Jap cars, I like Nissans. They make a hell of a good product, IMO. The Koreans make some good looking cars. I give them that.

I give up on the American car industry. Cock suckers are sell outs anyway. Sending stuff to Mexico. **** them and Harley Davidson. Best bike I ever had was a 84 KX125.

And while I am it, the japs Asics running shoes are the best. Most comfortable and quality running shoes, IMO. I don't run, but I have had two pair and the best shoes I own. Jap rice burner nip shoes. We can't even build a shoe anymore. Nike kills my feet and can never get them to fit. Under Amour shoes are terrible. Skechers are a damn good value and shoe company. Ok, there is one. But, the running shoes and sneakers make me feel old.

I have to buy ****ing rice burner Jap shoes.

This country went to shit.

Wranglers have always been pretty stout, as long as the frame doesn't rot. The new ones are pretty stout.

Chrysler had an issue with auto transmissions for about 20 years lol. Now they outsource them, as does most carmakers. People bitch about the nine-speed auto but they just are not used to how these new transmissions act for efficiency. My gf is very happy with her Renegade, we'll see how it does in five years I guess.

I have been thinking about getting and building an older Wrangler. Remember when everyone was mad when the YJ came out because it had square headlights? Yeah, I want one of those. It's a sweet spot between too goddamn basic with the CJ and all the plastic shit inside the TJ.

Nissan has lost their way. It's not that they make bad cars, they just make meh cars. Once upon a time they were the carmaker that made fun to drive cars you could afford...they have totally abandoned that for meh cars for people with sorta crappy credit.

Koreans figured out reliability very, very quickly.

No one can make a small car cheaply in the USA. Of course, the market is no longer demanding cars at all, it's all SUVs and CUVs and trucks. People are going to cry when gas hits $5, and it will. I'll be smug as fvck in my Hyundai getting 40 mpg on the highway.

Speaking of Hyundai, I bought this Elantra as an experiment, to see how far they have come before buying something pricier from them. It's a damn competent little car. But their depreciation is horrible as a brand. So instead of new, I'll probably look at a used V8 Genesis. Goddamn you can get a deal on one of those.

Which brings it back around to resell value...nothing holds value like a Wrangler. And it is the only vehicle you can modify and get back what you put in it when you sell it....because every damn person that wants one wants to modify it. Every other vehicle is valued the same or less if you modify it.

I don't know man, the American public has been brainwashed to think Honda is the absolute shit in terms of used cars. Hell, most dealers want so damn much, you're better off getting brand new.

Don't get me wrong, Honda does make a solid car, but they're not immune to defects and recalls. I have a friend who wanted to get an Odyssey but didn't want to spend a lot. The only way he could pull that off was to buy one that was 5 years old with about 120k miles on it. And this was to be their dependable family car. Their other car has close to 200k on it. That thing is going to start needing expensive repair for normal wear and tear items. He thinks because it's a "Honda" he's good to go for a million miles I guess.

My daughter had a Patriot. I was spending $700 to $1000 every time I turned around. I traded it in on a new RAV4. I’ve had so much luck with Toyotas. I have a Highlander. I bought my two youngest (still dependent) a RAV4 and Corolla. You can drive them forever.

My first Toyota was a Corolla that I bought my wife to drive back and forth to work years ago. I payed $18,000 brand new. She drove it for 5 years. We gave it to one of my daughters in high school and she drove it for almost 3 years. It had 180,000 miles. We never put a penny into it other than brakes and tires and normal maintenance. She totaled it and the insurance company gave us $7800 for it. I mean...sold. She decided that she was afraid to ride in a car as small as a Corolla so I bought her the used Patriot. That’s the only non Toyota I’ve bought in years. I was glad to get the RAV for her and see the money pit go.

When I traded my Highlander for a newer model year before last I looked at a Lexus but decided to stick with my Toyota. I’m sure people who have Honda and Nissan have similar success stories.

Wait is this the same fiat that WVFan argued till he was blue in the face was not an Italian company????? Come on WVFan where are you now?????? Even Michigan admits its an Italian company.

Hyundai cars prolly have more American parts than Chrysler/Dodge.

BTW, Cars.com came out with their list of “most” American cars or trucks - meaning made in the USA, had most USA made parts and accounted for most USA spin off jobs.

1. Jeep Cherokee
2. Honda Odyssey Van
3. Honda Ridgeline

Chevy has one car in the top 10 - The Volt
Chrysler had none.

Ford had the Taurus and F-150 on the list.

Funny funny thing is. I bought a 2003 Jeep Liberty new. My youngest kid is still driving it today. Least amount of trouble of any car I have owned, other than our 2011 Sienna Van from Toyota. Great vehicle.

You never know.

Raoul I am driving a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe with 226,000 miles on it. Not one problem only oil changes, brakes etc. It looks great on both the inside and outside. I swear I will drive this for at least another couple years best car I have ever owned.

Raoul a country that's has few or no whites. Detroit has blacks trained in the white way which works okay. Lol Heads exploding,,, I figured naacp says that not enough blacks got jobs making cars in America. Wonder what a car would look like with no interference from any white people. A car built and designed by black folk would have much better stereo's and be larger vehicles. Detroit was a great comeback but wrong.

Would need Obama back to provide free cars to blacks.

Fvck, now I will be fired from any job until 2035 since this clearly racist post was on my screen. I am glad E.T. isn't around to call people "pill-poppers" and "alcoholics" or else I would be unemployable for the rest of my life.

Racist as in south park comedy. You are way to easy rifle. I'm less racist than you. Took that post as the gospel instead of giving some thought why I posted that. Was I mad. No buddy. Was I threatened no buddy. People intentionally try to make people mad. Rifle that's all you do but Raoul will give you 3 days off if you post any more personnel stuff on here. Me if it was racist Raoul would have gave me a. Vacation. Raoul shows no favorites. Imna proud member of the naacp.

I own two Kia's and they both are great vehicles with super good reliability.

I have been very happy with my Hyundai. Absolutely zero problems. The only thing I can really knock it for is a lack of steering feel. It wouldn't be an issue for most drivers, I really notice it because I came from a Mazda into it, and Mazda focuses on handling characteristics.
