Sailor Denied 'Clinton Deal', Gets 1 Year in Prison for 6 Photos of Sub

It was confidential, he could've easily been let go with a slap on the wrist.
Yet he wasn't. So once again obviously it's a pretty big deal. Now if his name was Clinton he probably would have been awarded the congressional Medal of Honor
 
I don't think what this young man did was that egregious, but the punishment was necessary as a deterrent to that type of activity. If left unpunished, it becomes much more difficult to establish where the line needs to be drawn in the future. Maybe Marine can elaborate, but I have to assume that it was well established with these men that taking pictures was forbidden. What the young man did, although probably not that harmful, was wrong. You can't let it go.

But this incident certainly illustrates the hypocrisy and double standard that our politicians enjoy. I don't blame the defense attorney for exploiting the Clinton email controversy.
 
My pops showed me a photo album several years ago with pics from his time in the Army. He had one of himself sitting in front of (at the time) state-of-the-art communications equipment. He said he could have gotten in big trouble for that pic. He also had several pics from Southeast Asia. These were more interesting to me because according to his "official" records he spent his entire time overseas stationed in Germany...
