President Trump confounded leaders from his own party on Wednesday by siding with Democrats on plans to fund the government and raise the debt ceiling, upending negotiations on a variety of crucial policy areas this fall and further damaging relationships with Republicans on Capitol Hill.

Trump made his position clear at a White House meeting with congressional leaders, agreeing with Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) by voicing support for a three-month bill to fund the government and raise the debt ceiling for the same amount of time.

How long before Raleigh and herdman come to his defense over this

I can hear all the cons now - it was a negotiating tactic to completely
cave to schumer by the great negotiator.

as a democrat I am getting tired of winning.

What am I supposed to defend? My original opinion that I never considered him a full blown conservative, and even suggested he was more a moderate on many issues?? I also actually said he would end up working with the other side if the opportunity presented itself because that's what business people do. Seriously '429. You are trying too hard here.

Lets save your self righteous indignation of Trump while insinuating Repubs holding firm on (any) issues related to debt ceiling. You know (as well as anyone else who pays attention) Repub congress would have folded quicker than an old aluminum lawn chair, raised the debt ceiling and tied it to any number of ridiculous "needs" had Hillary been in office.

Dtard claiming "winning"??? Hilarious. Is that what you were thinking when you crawled away from here like a crying bitch for 6 months? Quit embarrassing yourself. Idiots like you are one of the main reasons Hillary was a lost cause.

Shocking. It does appear McConnell and the boys caved. The deal was already done before Trump even announced. Come on '429. Where is the outrage with the GOP party??
