We've known that humans (homo sapiens) bred with Neanderthal when they migrated out of Africa for quite some time now. Everyone of us with European descent has Neanderthal dna in us. Your WVU slam aside (good one), this only shows what we already knew from our college day experience...that the longer the night passed the more likely we were to breed with "non-human" species.

So just curious if there are no known fossils how do they know ghost species exist? I'm not doubting I just would actually like to know.
