Take Kent and the +6.5 points.
I think this game is gonna be much tougher than most people expect.

Fresh meat (QB) and a dramatic lockeroom. I love the Herd, it's my school and my football team just like everyone else. This is strictly business
Marshall 24
Kent 31

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but from what I see, these guys got blasted by Illinois and warrant at least a touchdown dog. Granted that the Minnesota game looked good for them, you cant just throw out the rest of the games and go aww, they were just off their game or they were playing like a super team.

I look for this to be a very low scoring game. They'll blitz like crazy and see if Chase gets rattled and makes a costly turnover. Our D will have to play lights out and special teams will have to do well and not make a costly mistake. Thankfully, Kent's offense isn't very good.

No way we score more than 2-3 TD's Jmo.

You guys worry too much. They do not cross midfield but at most 3 times all day. Marshall wins this one with no problem at all.
I wouldn't say we will not have problems, we do have a young QB. I still think we win by at least a touchdown. If our defense comes fired up for the first series, unlike other games, could be more than a touchdown.

Van Pelt didn't say that Marshall would lose. He just likes the underdog and the points.

Let's face it, Marshall is going into the game with a talented buy very young quarterback and I think even the biggest Kool Aide drinker on this board understands that Marshall on the road is much different that Marshall at home in the Joan. I think this game is going to go down to the wire.

Keep in mind, however, before the Ohio game we had won 8 in a row on the road.

We also have quite a few guys who may not play. Van Horn is a big loss at RT. Lang at S and Petty at LB just to name a few.
I hope to see the OL handle their multiple fronts and allow Litton time to throw and Rock some room to run.
We'll see...

Good grief. Petty hasn't even seen the field this year. What is the injuries to Lang and Van Horn. Awfully early to have so many injuries causing guys to not play several games. Can't imagine when we get into conference play.

I think we will struggle in this game. If we lose to Kent we are in trouble.

Exactly right, Herdon2. Lose this one, and we might very well lose 3 out of the last 4 road games: FAU, MTSU and WKU. Only Charlotte would appear reasonably "certain" for a Herd road win if we lose at Kent.

Herd to Thunder all over The Flushes...now pass me some more of that green kook-add!
