Sessions for AG? Thoughts?

Dems and the left will scream to high heavens but he will be confirmed. His history includes, I believe, being denied a judgeship during the Reagan(?) administration.

Perfect. And if those damn mayors don't abide by federal law, then I hope they lock their asses up. Cut the money and lock them up if necessary.

Agreed, but I think Sessions will be more aggressive against the illegals. We may be able to shoot for 6 million kicked to the curb instead of just 2-3 million.
Isn't 2-3 million a pretty big record for our country?

Then who is going to cut the grass for the rich people?

It's funny, all these country people bitch about the Mexicans, but I don't see them lining their asses up to work at the chicken plant or the slaughter house. Country people used to like those jobs, now the young ones would rather sit on their ass and be a rolling contradiction in their pickup listening to rap music.

There's a huge slaughter house in Louisville. A long time ago it was the Irish that worked there. Then the (American) blacks. Now it is a lot of Somali immigrants. God bless them, they are in there working their asses off for $13 bucks an hour and happy as a pig in shit to be in America. The funniest part is now that neighborhood is becoming gentrified, and the new liberal rich fvcks bitch about the smell from the slaughter house. Why did you move next to a meat packing plant, you dumb fvcks?

I think it is obvious Sessions is a bigot. He's also against legalizing pot, another of these Republicans that love states' rights for hating on blacks and gays but by damn don't do anything against their line of thinking as a state. But more than that he is old as fvck, in general I would rather see a younger, active US Attorney get the post. I don't care for digging up relics for a demanding job.

Some young left leaning hypocrite? Sessions is in. Voters want change, hopefully this time for the better. Enough with the dividing, globalism, and fair-share bull-shit.

Close the bounders, no free iPhone for votes and get back to individuals having to get off their asses for room and board.

Government should never help the individuals who are able to work. Buying votes is not the answer.Government workers double-dipping is a perfect scenario for minimum wage policy liberals keep harping about. Policy changes are needed and will happen soon under Trump.

I've worked extremely hard and have been blessed with a great career and very nice income. Nothing pisses me off more than some 25 year old 500 lb individual throwing out her government card at grocery store with steak, lobster, and numerous ice creams, and cakes being bagged. This while she is verbally abusing her 9 children (ages 3-7), plus munching on the largest Snickers bar in front of paying customers. Ms Hefty is eating better than average working American. It is an everyday occurrence over and over again in this country. Ms Hefty more and likely cannot even spell 'Voting Booth'.

Hand-outs need to stop and Ms Hefty needs to work for that kind of luxury food and take care of her children, fathered by 9 different low-life unemployed crack-head men. If Ms Hefty were playing QB and went under center her ass would extend outside the tackle box.

Long story short - The party is over for a few groups that have enjoyed free reign over the last 8 years.

Some young left leaning hypocrite?

Obama put a few right leaners in at US Attorney posts. Hell he named a Republican head of the FBI, of course that didn't work out too well for the Democrats a couple of weeks ago. Make Comey the AG. He's got plenty of life left in him, and some scores to settle that should be to your liking.

And you all didn't vote for change. You voted to "drain the swamp". A sitting 70 year old Senator isn't draining the swamp. Hell go find a younger state Republican prosecutor, there has to be one or two in Texas.

Testimony before Congress is now "hearsay"? Shit, why do you all keep dragging Hillary up there then?

He can be a bigot and still go for the death penalty. No one said he was a David Duke level of bigot. More like a Jesse Helms level of bigot.

And as Hillary proved, lying to congress is quite easy to do.

Slaughter house in Louisville? Looks like they shipped it to Houston.

The playoff era and mass mediocrity in college football has ushered in a lot of inconsistency. The good old days are over. Alabama's really the only team you can count on to play well every week.

Sessions's actual track record certainly doesn't suggest he's a racist. Quite the opposite, in fact. As a U.S. Attorney he filed several cases to desegregate schools in Alabama. And he also prosecuted the head of the state Klan, Henry Francis Hays, for abducting and killing Michael Donald, a black teenager selected at random. Sessions insisted on the death penalty for Hays. When he was later elected the state Attorney General, Sessions followed through and made sure Hays was executed. The successful prosecution of Hays also led to a $7 million civil judgment against the Klan, effectively breaking the back of the KKK in Alabama.

I spent a good portion of my life in Alabama. Trust me the klan activity is still there. The racist attitudes are still there just as they are in every small town in the country

Racist attitudes still exist in the projects as well. General Attitudes arent the problem, its when they hunt people down because of those attitudes that it becomes a problem.

Did I say otherwise? I acknowledged that racist attitudes still exist. And it's not just a problem when people are "hunted" down.

So please explain why someone in a trailer in rural alabama or an apartment in Harlem cant hold racist views so long as they dont persecute one another with violent behavior? Im not advocating it and dont believe in it myself, just trying to get to the bottom of your logos.

It's amazing when people don't understand or see this.

Maybe because Blacks have a reason to hate whites.

Still don't understand why Whites continue to be racist.

Yehh right. Really, I am sure that happened.

I don't even see how Nick Saban gets a black guy to play football in Alabama.

I am sure that really happened.

One of my son's closest friends is from Alabama and he is black and lived there is whole life. I have yet to hear about the klan. Matter fact my son lives there now and they are together every day. Have never heard a word.

Not saying it doesn't exist, but I am calling bull shit on this story. The Klan is nearly non existent and has about zero power or influence. I bet the Klan has more influence in Indiana and Ohio than it does Alabama.

I have lived in WV, GA, NC. Own property in SC and travel all over the southeast and I have yet to meet one Klan member anywhere. Not even a hint of it. Honestly, the most racist people I have ever met have been from Ohio and Massachusetts. But, not Klan members.

5-8K? They are insignificant now. There are what? 300 million people here in the USA?

The Southern Poverty Law Center estimates that there are 190 active KKK groups with between 5,000 and 8,000 Klan members in the U.S.
