So I wondered if Brent Pry, PSU's D Co , a Buffalo grad, would want to take the job. From there he could hire his Dad, Jim Pry a MU grad. I wonder where all of that would lead.

Jim is 70 years old and has been retired for five years. He isn't leaving retirement.

Within the last few years, Brent has turned down head coaching offers (not just feelers) at a C-USA school and Louisiana, a city (Lafayette) that he loves and has family in/near. Would he be a great candidate? Sure. Has his happiness in State College changed enough over the last few years to go to Buffalo? Not sure.

Wonder if that "stirring" Bowl win over a Herd team led by an astute and offensively innovative head coach like Doc Holliday was the critical deciding factor in Kansas's decision to hire Leipold?

Sluggo was he a GA at MU when you were on staff or before?

Pry was a GA well before me, from his BC resume...
A native of Altoona, Pa., Pry got his start in coaching at his alma mater, Marshall University, as a graduate assistant from 1973-74. Pry graduated from Marshall with a degree in Physical Education in 1974, going on to earn his Master’s Degree from the school in the same field in 1975.

I hear he is a pretty good guy, and certainly earned his strips.
