So Kai Locksley is no longer on the commit list, and now he’s taking an official to New Mexico State. Guess there’s no QB recruit so far going into 2018.

He’s still interested in MU but yeah, he’s no longer a commit. He visited UTEP today and received an offer.
UTEP’s new OC and Kai’s dad have known each other for decades. They were roommates at one time when they were both coaching at the same D3 school.
I honestly don’t think he’s going to be as good as advertised. All of his visits are to G5 schools, and not the best at that. He seems to have a medium fish in a small puddle mentality.
He's a good enough ATH to play QB at the FBS level but I worry about his accuracy. He had some pretty rough games in that area at Iowa Western.
To be fair, I'm making that assumption based off of box scores. Completion percentages are far from a QB only thing.
Not trying to bash the kid, I hope he ends up happy with whatever choice he makes... But watch his tape. Mechanics as bad or worse than Bernie Morris with similar athleticism.
Bernie was a nice kid, good athlete, but his mechanics were awful and his decision making was worse...
And chase is a nice kid, ok athlete, mechanics are awful and his decision making is not there.... but at least Bernie could and would run.... I’ll take another Bernie at this point
Locksley is looking for a program with A) no defined starting QB and B) a coach willing to bench every QB he has on his roster and let Locksley come in as the chosen starter. He only committed to Marshall because he thought Chase Litton would be transferring out; when he reconnected with the team and it was obvious he'd be our guy through 2018, Locksley walked.
