You stole my thunder. This notion that Texas was ever anything but red is laughable.
Both of you morons struggle with reading comprehension and statistical analysis.
Nobody claimed that Texas wasn't red. What was claimed was that Texas is turning bluer, and it is. In 2020, I claimed that " . . . it is very possible that Texas turns blue within the next eight years." I didn't claim that it wasn't red. I didn't claim that it was definitely going to turn blue by a certain time. What I said was that by 2028, it is very possible that it turns blue.
You morons continue to fail in statistical analysis. Let me dumb this down for you deplorables. Let's say your wife, starting at the new year in 2024, had a goal to lose weight. Here were her monthly weigh-ins in pounds:
2023:
August - 400
September - 404
October - 407
November - 411
December - 416
2024:
January - 410
February - 405
March - 400
April - 397
May - 400
June - 395
July - 392
August - 390
September - 393
October - 388
November - 386
If you told her in September that her goal of losing weight wasn't working since she gained three pounds from August to September, would your point be accurate? No, you would be totally wrong. Why? Because since her initiative started, she had already lost 23 pounds even after the three pound increase that particular month. But overall, she definitely was successful in losing weight.
Likewise, the margin in Texas over the last seven presidential elections has been:
2000 - 21.3%
2004 - 22.9%
2008 - 11.8%
2012 - 15.8%
2016- 9%
2020 - 5.6%
2024 - 13.8%
Since 2024 didn't continue to quickly flip and increased the other way, does that mean Texas isn't turning bluer? Of course not. Looking this millenium/century, there has been a significant change bluer. Basic statistical analysis reveals that, and only a moron would look at a one time increase as proof otherwise when there has been a huge drop the other way over the long run.
Just like your wife gaining three pounds from August to September doesn't mean she hasn't been successful losing weight.
