It really doesn't matter at this point.
Bottom line, the Herd won its super bowl in South Bend last month, and that win is going to outlive most of us that post here. Like Sam said, WVU fans are still talking about the big win over the Oklahoma Sooners from 40 years back, and this one for the Herd will be no different. Anything beyond that is simply extra gravy on the biscuits. Just go to the games, stay until the clock hits double zeros, and be thankful you can be labeled a good fan. Back in 1982 when WVU beat Oklahoma, my biggest struggle was deciding whether to study up for a statistics test, or just head down to the wide spot on Fayette Station Road to do some drinking. The wide spot always won out in the end.
