Warren? Bring Sanders skeleton back out? Better get started now. All the civil rights era hotshots are super old now. Got any community organizers that have some promise again? Maybe Michelle?

The last time the US recognized a trade surplus was back in 1975. When it comes to free trade are all the other countries interpretating it the same way (same set of rule)? I think the US needs to play the game that other free trade countries are playing better.

Rand Paul would make best GOP candidate in 2020 but he likes too much freedom. Something Republicans love to talk about but never really act on.

You think Trump wont choose to run again?

I hope by 2020, America finally decides to wake up from this nightmarish coma and elect someone respectable. I prefer it to be an outsider, even a Libertarian for that matter. But since this country is brainwashed into thinking only 2 political parties exist, I can only hope the Democrat and/or Republican nominees are worthwhile. This election, I can honestly say both are atrocious. If they didn't want Rand Paul this time, they should have went with John Kasich. Pretty solid guy who I could get behind even if I don't agree with most of his ideas.

Everyone else is a free trader.

Trump is too. There's a better chance of building the wall than ever bringing back those factory jobs. Just no way it's gonna happen.

However, providing the false hope changes the votes of retired plant workers from union "my daddy voted for 'em" Democrat to Republican. It's a smart play, but ultimately no politician will save these people from their plight. Most are already used to drawing checks on made up disabilities anyway and wouldn't go back to work if you gave them a job.

The problem with that line of thought is while no one is going to build that wall there is a large number of GOP politicians that are anti-immigrant. There was literally zero of them talking about trade wars until Trump.

There's no walking that back now. It struck too big a nerve. But it is 100% against a core Republican platform. None of these Republicans are even going to give that lip service. You either keep these votes or you do not.

Thing is, it can be done. But it will be painful for about a decade. I don't think today's Americans can handle pain.

Which one can be done, the trade wars? Really, you'd have to deport robots to bring back the factory jobs. The advancement of technology is taking more of these jobs than anything probably. The ones they're shipping out are to people who don't even know how to get flies off themselves. Yet they can do these jobs. They're not coming back.

The wall, I don't care if they build the physical wall or not. It's all about sending the message that we don't want them here. If he loses and we end up letting them in, so be it. Anybody who decides not to be a loser will be OK. It's the Section 8 war zones where these people will end up, most of them. They couldn't make it where they were. Most won't make it here either.

But given the choice, I prefer sending a loud message to stay the hell out. Trump is it.

Thats what other chumps say too. About Rubio etc too. No way anyone but Trump beats Hillary. None.

agreed. The only way you beat a politician like Hillary (or any Dem for that matter) is a bare knuckle brawl. Donald is the only guy to do it. The only guy who wouldn't lay down. The only guy who wouldn't have quit.

Any other GOP candidate would have happily quit, and run into the sunset with his leftover unspent campaign contribution money and entered the talking head rotation on cable news and speakers bureau tours. Or simply slipped back into the easy fat cat world of guaranteed paid checks of Congress. That's a successful campaign outcome to the "never trumper repubs".
