I looked at the roster and we have guys from all around the globe. That explains why we are playing on such a high level I suppose. Does anyone on here have any insight how we are doing this? Are they all here in the states at prep schools?

If Grassie is doing the same thing they did at UC, he's going out and getting them from abroad. I believe some visits are involved, but the budget is very limited I'm sure.

One other way the sport differs from American sports is that in most soccer-centric countries, the pro system extends all the way down to adolescence. There's no amateur or collegiate level to speak of, and there are many, many minor league professional levels. The players US colleges pick up are actually the cast-offs of those systems. Not a slight against the players, but definitely an indication of just how much competition there is in the sport abroad.

A lot of the kids play for academies sponsored by the big pro teams in the UK, Germany and Brazil. It's a much higher level of play throughout than what we see in the US - High school, travel-Clubs, etc. You are right, this is a way of life abroad for those who want to be really good.

You can actually go to HerdZone and check out the roster and it’ll tell you who they’re playing for if anyone. I know we have someone apart of the Columbus Crew FC.

This has been happening right under your nose at universities for decades. Who knew, right. :))
