The interview last week with the DOGE leadership group was also astounding. The govt waste is endless.
They need to crack down on disability and medicare and insurance fraud. It's rampant, both private citizens and clinicians billing for services/codes not performed or stretching the definitions thereof.
Why are you rubes so against getting rid of what is flat out corruption and theft in government spending?
Social Security #’s do not = fraud. Legal immigrants have been receiving SS #’s since the 40’s so they can pay taxes and into the program.
Trump implemented a program in his first term that began automatically began mailing SS cards to legal immigrants, thus the growth in numbers.
DOGE knows that so many of you will see the graph and make the assumption that suddenly illegal immigrants are receiving SSI. More gaslighting.
DOGE is just throwing out stats, completely out of context because they know the Trump fanbase will eat them up without stopping to verify or understand.

Clearly, I just gave context to the slide we are discussing and yes, I watched the video of the presentation. I've also watched the ridiculous online response to it and it's exactly what I said, the cult screaming that we are paying illegals Social Security . . . which is exactly what DOGE wanted.
So your claim is that we had over 2,000,000 LEGAL immigrants last year and that’s who got the SS numbers?
That’s an issue because the government reports only 818,000 legal immigrants in 2024. Who got the other 1.2 million SS numbers?
Further, the highest number of legal immigrants in the last 40 years has only surpassed 1.25 million once. So who got the SS numbers?

If you can’t understand that when Trump started mandating SS #’s that 1). It wasn’t implemented immediately and 2.) That it didn’t encourage decades of immigrants who were not automatically mailed a SS#s to apply, I can’t help you. I know you desperately want there to be a 1:1 correlation because that supports your agenda but like anything on a scale of this size, it doesn’t work that way.
Please, show us the proof that we are paying illegal immigrants SSI on a global scale.
The numbers provided by Rock offer more proof and context, than your "Nuuhh Uhhhh, DOGE is gaslighting", explanation. You're the one making the claim the numbers provided by DOGE aren't accurately represented. You provide the evidence the numbers dont add up, beyond conjecture.
DOGE gave us a graph showing an increase in SS#s. That doesn’t demonstrate an increase in SSI payments to illegals aliens . . . which is the implication being made.
