Just read that the SBC is distancing itself from the republican party. That is a good thing. I think its trump they are putting distance from.

In no way 88 is southern Baptist moving towards the DNC. No group in this country is against abortion more than southern Baptist brother. Go read the article yourself and you will see. Lol backing the DNC, no way. I am a southern Baptist and proud of it.

Ok went back and read more. Because of the younger generation they are trying to change. I agree 88 that could be bad. The word of God doesn't change. Younger generation is all I had to read to get that queasy feeling in my stomach. Do you know what I mean 88?

when jimmy carter resigned his membership in the sbc in the year 2000 that should have told everyone

Chevy the SBC wants nothing to do with Trump as a whole. This week they tried to block Pence from speaking at the convention. That wasn't passed but the beginning of their movement by the younger members has started. No their not jumping to the DNC.
