I can't imagine this is news to anyone... Barring injury, Columbi was the starter the minute he agreed to transfer here.
Sounds like Fancher might be the next man up. Given that Colombi is here for only one year, I’d imagine he may be on a short leash….but I’m hoping he’s a home run pickup.
I expected he would be named the starter since he has the most experience, but I do hope the spread on teh scoreboard is large enough that Fancher is inserted early in the 3rd quarter so we all can see if he really as good as a backup that Coach Huff is intending. If the coach is correct, then this good be really interesting season since the other teams will have to prepare for two types of QB's because if the 1st QB fails to perform the 2nd can be inserted and lead the team to victory. 🏈 
This thread reminds of the old football adage... "Every fan's favorite player is the backup quarterback."
Colombi is the guy and we need him to play well... The real question is what does Fancher's development mean for next year's theoretically wide open QB competition with our group of freshmen?

Every position on the team every year should be wide open and may the best and most talented player win that position. If player is afraid of losing out, then they are not trying hard enough or not the best player for that position. Marshall fan base wants a strong-willed team that wants to win and is willing to put forth the effort to win. As in every game, may the best team win.
