So far, three of the four Sun Belt teams that made the tournament have advanced to the regional finals. The fourth team, Louisiana, needs to win their current game against Texas to advance to the regional finals. Louisiana is beating Texas 2-1 in the 8th inning.

The good news is that, as of now, all four teams will make the finals in their region. The bad news is that all four will be coming through the loser’s bracket, which means they will have to beat their opponent two games in a row to advance to super regionals.

So far, a pretty good showing for the Sun Belt, especially if one or two teams can get into super regionals.

JMU defeated South Carolina to get the finals in their region. Unfortunately, they lost to NC State in the Raleigh Regional.
