That was a good hard-hitting physical football game

Anyone have a video of that punt returned tahtw as called back? Did he call for a fair catch? Not sure why it was ruled that cause refs never blew a whistle form what I heard . If they thought he called a fair catch the paly should have been stopped as soon as he took off. Wasn't able to view game yesterday. Just read abpout it.

I don't think Foster signaled for a FC but a few Herd friends I talked to do. To me, it looked like he put his arm out to help with a last second change of direction.

By rule, a fair catch signal requires a player's hand to be above the head. Foster's was not. Also, an invalid fair catch signal should have stopped the play immediately. No official was waving their hands or blowing a whistle to stop the play. Overall, I thought it was one of the worst called games of the year. And I try to give the officials the benefit of the doubt.

Totally agree...I went back & watched it......Foster's arm (one) never got above his shoulder......I support he was steadying himself to field the punt.......

Judge...I too try to be objective with refs or umpires...they have a difficult job.

I think sometimes football officials automatically think speedy receivers are getting bumped & banged by defenders and have a hand on their yellow flags--ready to toss. Often times, I support the receivers establish position (pushing off) against the defenders, yet, the refs rarely cites the receiver.

I think Allen needs a lot of work...and not at wrestling steers. His hands are usually wrapped around a receiver's waist (the announcers pointed this out---1 being an ex-defender). Allen appeared he wanted to bring home a Rams jersey for keepsake....LOL.

I think the last defenders have a difficult time....they are the last defense determining if a speedy receiver gets to the end zone. Tough job those guys have.

I understand the penalty yardage was lopsided in the Rams favor...but I was watching it from my living room. I'm please The HERD held on in the 4th quarter to gain a VICTORY...I was concerned down the stretch.......NOT AGAIN!

Loved the game and nice win for our program. I too went back and watched film. Defensively, our secondary was attacked allot. Allen was picked on, Jackson was picked on, but overall I thought their play was good...enough to win. I'm so praying that we land a JUCO (DT), graduate transfer, or something happens to beef up the middle.

Oh...by the way, if Bee stays and Ty Tyler gets back like the old Ty Tyler. We get N.C. State and Cincy at the Joan next fall....sell out!!!!

We host UC in 2019. Next year we host NCSU and EKU. Travel to South Carolina and Miami (OH).

My fault guys. Miami game is going to be tough at Oxford. South Carolina is going to be better obviously and N.C. State is going to be exciting. No disrespect to Eastern Kentucky.

It may have been questionable or a bad call. But from what everyone has said, as I didn't see it, but why did the refs not immediately blow the play dead if they thought it was a fair catch? They let the entire return take place then say it was a fair catch? A CSU player was even hurt on the play which could've been avoided had they blown the whistle.
