He was terrible even for a rapper.Seven-time Grammy winner Kendrick Lamar. That's actually a pretty big deal to get him for the halftime show.
For the record: I don't like Kendrick Lamar's music either.
But a thread of old white guys (myself included) complaining about how much he sucks is pure gold.
Thats because us older folk know good music. For the record: I don't like Kendrick Lamar's music either.

I thought it was Allen Iverson.Who’s Kendrick Lamar?
**awaiting incredulous post from rifle **
But seriously...who’s Kendrick Lamar?

Yeah really. The entire halftime show I kept thinking how blessed I was to be watching him perform.
Helen Keller said the same thing.Yeah really. The entire halftime show I kept thinking how blessed I was to be watching him perform.

I actually really like Kendrick Lamar's music, but last night's performance was awful. Very few rappers put on a good live performance.
That's because a lot of that sound/album final product is smoke and mirrors IMO...hard to replicate that live.
I'm not saying they're not talented, but in my limited experience with live rap it's hard to reproduce the sound/production value at your run of the mill standard live show (ie not SNL, etc).
Rifle may disagree, but I just find better live experiences with other genre's...but by admission I'm not a huge rap fan but have seen a few live rap or hip hop concerts (Outkast, Nelly, D12, Black Eyed Peas off the top of my head).

That is because they were real musicians.Beastie Boys could bring it live.

That is because they were real musicians.
Some of that is hard to do when you're using a backing track or beat or whatever off a computer for a rap song...no improvisation really.
