Nestled in the neo-Georgian sanctuary of the Knickerbocker Club, one of New York’s oldest and fustiest social establishments, a select group of Republican donors gathered late last month to take up an unexpected task: reconsidering Ted Cruz.

Starting on Friday in Las Vegas, Trusted Leadership, the chief “super PAC” supporting Mr. Cruz, will host a gathering intended to draw new donors to the group, until now financed by a handful of wealthy families

What's corrupt about meeting voters and asking them for their support Fever? Nothing "corrupt" about it.

You ever make a sales call and ask someone to buy your product (in order for you to be paid)?

Wonder if he agreed to cower to liberal PC culture. If they're willing to accept him, that means he probably did. He strikes me as quite malleable.

If your so blind that you can't see how money is really influencing this election, you are part of the problem with corruption in this country

Without money, what else is there? Why would anybody care about any of this if money wasn't involved?

Money drives everything moron. Ypu didn't live in mommies basement for shits and giggles. You did it for money

Like I said, if you can't see how corrupt our political process is, you are blind and part of the problem

Does Obama get a free pass for it? All the stuff Bernie's saying about Hillary taking from Super PACs, etc., Obama and 95% of other Democrats do it as well. The 95% number was what I read today from the grand liberal Chuck Todd's column on NBC News.

I never said Obama or Democrats should get a pass. The whole Citizen United ruling has swung open the corruption door

Speaking against The One is sacrilege. Hell, even McCain and Romney wouldn't do it.

I find it odd that people who stand on the side of begging use this kind of language, trounced. How do you all have competitive urges? Your whole position is that competition is all unfair and at the end of the game, the winners should just graciously hand the extra to the losers. All games should end in a tie.

So what is this trounced business?

The only people who are a part of the problem are the ignorant morons who haven't the brains to understand that money and power have always played a major role in political influence. You think the great Roman politicians were house servants and street merchants? You think the rich black kings of ancient Africa were ruled by their slave dirt farmers? You think George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were poor homeless immigrants just lucky enough to be founding fathers?

The only people who are a part of the problem are too stupid to understand that they too must be "a part of the problem" of money in politics. You ever had a job Fever? You ever been a member of a professional organization or association Fever? If you answer "yes" to either one or both of these then understand something......YOU are a part of the powerful influences in Washington DC. BIG, MONEY, influences...

So please, just STFU with your Bernie Sanders impersonations. No bigger idiot or fraud exists in Washington today than a man whose only job in life has been to participate in listening to those influences. The hubris of an old kook who pretends to know how to lead a country, while at the same time admitting he doesn't know how a key point of his platform will work (see recent editorial board interviews) while eagerly taking money from young uninformed rubes who don't have the slightest idea how this country was grown from nothing.............CASH MONEY FROM THE WEALTHY ELITES HOMEY.

Your trumpenstein could talk as loudly and stupidly as he likes, he could call the One all the names in the world and say anything else he'd like to, and he'd get trounced in the general election. That's the trounced business.

Does that make you whole? Seeing a really rich man like Trump lose in a national popularity contest?

Maybe it does. I hope so. Think of how sad he is at the end of all this, taking his big billions home. What a loser. Going to be trounced. It must be awful for him. Wow, the commoners really are going to beat him on this one. How can he recover from this huge loss?

Revenge will be had by those who just couldn't luck into success. Thing about it is, 8 years from now they'll still be unhappy.

The amount of money a person is worth does not determine what type of president they would be, so that's irrelevant. trumpensteins lack of maturity should disqualify him from holding any high office.
