I can’t hear. My physician sent me for hearing tests and I failed miserably. I could only hear one of the ten test tones in my left ear and none in my right. The testing people of course wanted to sell me hearing aids. Forget that.
I notice my hearing loss the most when I’m watching a TV show where the actors are British. Something about the British accent makes everything muffled. The only way I can follow the story is to turn on closed captioning. It works well.
I recently noticed that my TV has a Bluetooth option and I decided that a set of wireless headphones might be a good fit for me. I researched several different brands and decided on a pair of over the ear Beats Studio. A bit pricey, but you only go around once so what the hell. It just so happened that Amazon was having their Cyber Monday sales and the headphones I wanted were over 54% off. One big problem. The ones I wanted (color) were part of the Kim Kardashian collection. Nothing against the girl; she became a billionaire with half a brain, but I don’t want her name on my head (or on any other area). After some thought on the subject, I went ahead and ordered the headphones. Saving over $150 is worth putting a piece of masking tape over her signature.
