He is the greatest athlete of a generation. The Sunday red. The roars. El Tigre. On his way back to one of the greatest comebacks in sports history. And, of course, his friendship with Donald J. Trump.

If TIger were not with Nike and such a monumental figure, I would move on from Nike.

What a loser. Who cares. Middle aged white guy who buys his Nike’s from the outlet or Gabe’s. They really don’t give a shit about you. Make sure you leave them on when you light them on fire.

I don't wear Nike shoes.

I've probably bought 20 pair of Nike shoes in the last 5 years, mostly flyknits until they fvcked them up 2 years ago and I switched to Adidas ultraboosts and adios boosts. And their athletic apparel is garbage. I'm pretty apathetic about the kneeling/anthem controversy, but fvck Nike for going political and making Kaepernick their spokesperson. I was considering buying a pair of epic react flyknits, but not now.

Their golf shirts are very good and they make a hell of a good hat. Damn good hats. Their shoes just don't fit me right.

Help me better to understand this: you won't spend $150 on a pair of Nike sneakers because they support a guy who is calling attention to police brutality against blacks on a subject you've admitted to being apathetic towards . . . yet you've claimed to be socially liberal.

So your only issue is that Nike "went political" and took a stance on the issue? God damn, this may be the biggest snowflake example of all-time.

Such a powerful protest Rox. Way to take a stand.

Fact is....Nike built its Brand on the "renegade athlete"....John McEnroe. There's a whole building dedicated to him at Nike HQ. Also, Steve Prefontaine was considered something of a "renegade".......Kaepernick fits the mold.

The fact that Trump and a bunch of old white guys hate this.....makes the campaign hugely successful. Nike's got to be loving this. Hell....they don't even need to spend money on media....all the outrage is seeding and promoting their brand image.

What's better, that I found Herdman's blog . . .

. . . or that Tiger just came out and called the Kaepernick ad "a beautiful spot," basically rubbing Herdman's face all over his sweaty balls?

Tiger and I don't agree on everything. But, we can agree to disagree. And what else was he going to say? He made a billion of Nike and they stayed with him during his issues. He has his Nike sub brand.

They were not anthem kneelers and cop haters and commie lovers. Difference.

The guy wears pig cop socks, kneels during the anthem, and praised Castro. If he wanted to do some good, why didn't he get the copse perspective, get cops and community leaders to sit down together? Maybe talk about the fatherless black population?

But, no he became bitter and knelt and work pig cop socks.

That is not constructive.

They were controversial....same
I am controversial as well. But, I ain't no damn commie, anthem basher, and cop hater. He is a bitter anti American commie. Dick weed try to ruin football and the smiling Roger Goodell let the bastard. So, you guys can have a love affair with him and worship him. Not me.

Thing is.....it's not about me and you. It's about Nike and their demographic - their customers. The fact is most young people support Kaper.....'s right to protest.

Also, this wouldn't be near the issue it is if Trump didn't, continually, make it an issue. In fact, it might be dead by now. After all, it's not the first time people have protested during the anthem, and it won't be the last. It's part of the freedom's listed in the constitution.... protected by those who proudly serve.

You don't think people would notice people kneeling during the anthem? At a football game?

Police brutality against blacks is mostly make-believe, and that's coming from someone who has no love for authority in general and the police in particular. Blacks, unfortunately, have shown a greater propensity for violence and crime.

They don't like to hear this. But, it is the truth. Well put, murox.

Really? Shouldn't you have to be - oh, I don't know - actively competing/engaged in athletics to be a "renegade athlete"? Kap is more like a not very bright political activist than a "renegade athlete" at this point.

You continue to dumb this board down with your "socially liberal" stance. I can't even talk myself into wasting time by refuting it with simple, factual arguments. Police brutality has been an issue for decades upon decades. Before cell phone cameras existed, it was commonly known. Now that cameras are everywhere, it finally has made it to the hills of West Virginia. Yet still, deplorables claim it doesn't exist.

Black Guy commits a crime. Fights cops. Gets beat up. Pulls a gun on cops. Get shot. Cries racism and brutality.

White guy does the same and everyone says Bill Joe Bob got what he deserved.

I give this post a 9.8/10 for articulation, and a 10/10 for accuracy.

Want to sit through two dozen videos over the last few years showing no gun being pulled on the cops, yet the blacks getting blown away?

Nike is a business with shareholders. To pretend like they make decisions based on morals and not profit is adorable.

I'm not sure what me being socially liberal has to do with recognizing there is a crime problem in the black community. Police aren't targeting blacks to beat them and unfairly incarcerate them.

With that said, I believe police should have to wear cameras on their person to document every move they make when engaging with the public. If it's "accidentally" turned off, then they are automatically at fault for whatever claim is made against them.

31% increase for Nike means you’re a fvcking moron for thinking “millions” are like you protesting

The fvck are you even talking about, retard? Up 31% from three days ago? Yeah, millions of people -- mostly white, middle and upper-middle class -- will skip Nikes for another brand. You'll see soon enough.

The $10/hr hoodlums who spend their whole paycheck on Jordans will still buy them, though, I'm sure.
