Since they lost to us they have beat Cal, UNC, and BYU. Really their only loss should be to Ohio State

This is the kinda statement that is comical with you and many others.

If we were 3 - 2 with a loss to Ohio State and a loss to a 1 - 4 Eastern MIchigan team that cant score on anyone right now.

You would be, "sure we are 3 - 2, but we couldnt even beat EMU."

Instead of "we should be 4 - 1 with only the loss to Ohio State."

Comical!!!! Keep up the good work!

Overreact much?????

GO HERD!
Pay attention much. Take off the green glass and put down the kool-aid Aaron Jones. How on earth can you watch last night's game and project any wins going forward. This also isn't a knee jerk one game overreaction. We have gotten worse each week since Bowling Green. Our only hope at salvaging this season is to dump Colombi and hope Trickett can use Fancher's athleticism. Then again just like that two point conversion we'll probably just run him up the middle time and time again instead of using him in rollouts. Even the announcers couldn't believe that's what we went win in that situation.

You are proclaiming the death of the football team for the year.. The end of the season.

So you really think if Huff is retained past this season we won't be in a deep hole? Look at how much the Snyder years set us back. It took us 10 years to win another conference championship.

We're likely going to have keep Huff another year or two. If we continue on this trend this roster will be absolute trash by then. We'll have to go out and hire a new coach and he's going to have to go through a rebuilding process. Given the university's track record on how they like to hire coaches I don't foresee us doing a legit national search and brining in someone proven. I was shocked we went outside the Marshall circle this time.

People don't want to hear this, but we got extremely lucky with the run in the 90s. We had a former player who was from WV who just happened to bring in a top QB with him and oh by the way the best WR in college football history fell to us because he got dismissed from two other teams and was damaged goods at that time. He just happened to have a relationship with Pruett.

Where's our next Pruett? We don't have one out there.

Look at Sothern Miss before Ellis Johnson and since Ellis Johnson. If Charles Huff is allowed to continue to the the HC of this program he will do irreparable damage. Then again maybe not for you because you're content with .500 ball. The rest of us want to win championships.

I would be thrilled to see us finish .500 this season or next year! But we both know that won't happen!

If Notre Dame played Marshall 100 times, especially right now, how many does Notre Dame win?

Reality is Huff lost the football program after a big win, a huge win. We are inept right now. We have a meltdown somewhere. Right now we are one of the worst teams in America.

The thing is, the part about us being "lucky," is in a way, kinda true. We also got in trouble for cheating at that point as well, but we only remember the good times!!! Which is fine.

But, there are 14 teams in our conference. We have had 14 teams in our conference for years. Each program hires and fires, and spends and saves, and wins and loses. One title in ten years, is not terrible.

Do I think if end this season very badly, that that will hurt us next year? Not really. This is different than your "Ellis Johnson remarks." We fixed a bad defensive line, with no depth in one off season. He has proven he can do that. Why would we think he couldnt do the same with the offensive line going into next season, and with the portal, it makes things a little bit easier for teams on our level.

Some want you to put lipstick on a pig.

At the end of the day, no matter how good pretty Ms. Piggy looks, she's still a pig.

1. Thats not how sports works, we dont play them 100 times, we played them once, and we won.

2. That had literally nothing to do with what i found both comical and hypocritical in the post i originally quoted.

Man I wish I could be happy with being a loser, but I just can't. 1 title in 10 years is pathetic. It's a conference title not a national championship.

Because just a year ago Huff took over a largely intact Divisional Champion roster and not even two seasons later has destroyed that team to the extent we may only have 1 win over an FBS team. Yes that was over Notre Dame, but remove that and our only other wins may be over Norfolk State and a very ugly win over G-W.

What we're seeing right now is not because we don't have good enough players. What we're seeing is that our coaches are absolutely bad at coaching. At least offensively.

Also before you pat him too much on the back for building the defense most of the top defensive performers are Doc Holliday recruits.

I said he built a defensive line because he realized that is why we didnt do well late in the year. Now we have a dozen that play. So yes, I will pat him on the back for that.

We have a dozen that can play? Again the top performers on that DL are Doc guys.

You are kinda right. We should be undefeated. We are not. This team and coaching staff are now @$$.

OK, I will go over this really slowly:

Notre Dame isn’t any good.

Got it?
Neither is Bowling Green Louisiana or Troy and we got our asses kicked by all 3 of them. You are telling me those 3 schools are better than Notre dame in South Bend. Give me a break.

Something has happened in the program whether it’s the line coach leaving, no confidence in the staff by the players, the players aren’t listening, etc.,etc.,etc. whatever it is.

In 1 week something drastically changed in the locker room and we are left with the pile of crap we are witnessing now.

If we were 3-2 with a loss to OSU and a loss to 1-4 Eastern Michigan we would get pissed, but as long as the 3 wins weren't against I-AA teams we would be able to dismiss the EMU loss as a fluke or trap game.

As usual, you refuse to look at things in full context. When we lost to BGSU we were pissed, but most were still able to accept it as a potential fluke, especially given the history of that stadium. But the issue is we have continued to show a decline in performance and we continue to lose games in which we are favored.
