This is how you get 4 more years of Trump

No, I'm saying the reasonable, tax-paying, productive members of society are sick of leftist bullsh!t and will re-elect the guy who doesn't tolerate it.

This evening I went to dinner with two good friends of mine, one an orthopedic surgeon and the other a radiation oncologist (I'm sure your MCAT score was higher than both of theirs, don't worry). 90% of the conversation was how Trump is the greatest president of our generation; 10% of the conversation was about our new "cars and coffee" gathering we're putting together for Huntington. Parked outside were a Lamborghini Hurrican, a Ferrari F430 and a Porsche 911. Deplorable indeed.

I'm sure you had a stimulating discussion about the BLM and Me Too movements with Kodak Black recently.

So if a random mediahead says it, it is "leftist bullshit" that you are sick of. If the president of the U.S. says it, it's acceptable.

That sounds awful. Embarrassing. You're in Huntington, dude. You're really getting a group of guys together to go sit in a parking lot and have your cars out there?

Are you getting signs that read "Hey, look at us, we want attention" so you guys can get off when people pull over to look at your cars? Really, what's the point of getting some guys together to park next to each other with their cars? You see that in ghettos . . . and West Virginia.

Oh, by the way, it is spelled "Huracan," not "Hurrican." I was looking at a Gallardo a couple of weeks ago at a dealership, but I just can't force myself into drawing that much attention to myself even in a city of over 1 million, let alone one of 40,000.

You are oblivious. Cars and coffee events are held all over the country, usually at high-end dealerships. It just allows like-minded people to get together and socialize.

It’s interesting you passed on the Gallardo when a couple months you messaged me about getting an E Class Mercedes and your criteria for getting a car was (and I quote) “it will get me laid more.”

Being from that area, I disagree. Huntington needs to improve on its image. One way to do this is for those traveling through to see there are educated, successful people who want to be there.

Maybe there isn't as much to be proud of regarding Huntington in comparison to other towns, but, when you're from that area, you will want to show pride in the few things you can.

Bari Weiss is doing fantastic work at the NYT. Given her voice, I was a bit surprised to see this new hire.

Part of what murox is saying (I *think* at least) has been discussed by smarter people than I - Weiss (not a Trump supporter) and Eric Weinstein (a liberal, democrat) have done a good job talking about this. I'm paraphrasing here, but they have suggested that people (or the electorate) have felt that many on the left (and often backed by many media outlets/"journalists") have told people that what they are seeing is not really what is going on - or their perceptions are clouded by their inherent racism. Or that they can't have an opinion on something because they are in X tribe (typically a white male).

So the concept that there is no significant net negative to immigration or there is not a problem with Islam or there may be an issue with black culture that is limiting upward mobility/wealth building or maybe all cultures are not equal is not actually what the electorate is seeing. You're wrong for thinking these things and it's wrong to discuss it...or you can't discuss it because you can't understand because you're a white male. Everyone has been afraid to state otherwise or risk being called racist. So Trump wasn't afraid of taking a stance here.

Now we're seeing some more liberal people (or at least Democrat intellectuals) not as afraid to talk about these things, and I think if the democratic party embraces these people they'll probably have a resounding success in elections - people like Eric Weinstein, Sam Harris, Coleman Hughes, or even Joe Rogan. But if they go the way of Jeong or a complete socialist they may have more problems.

caveat: I'm in no way an election expert and I care little for political science. I have been interested in underlying thoughts/concepts on free speech and the intellectual dark web which has been fascinating to me. Civil long form discussion between differing opinions has been so much more enlightening than these B.S. 10 minute panels on cable news. I'm not a Trump voter. I'm a horrible person and not even registered to vote.

Not sure how a racist tweet from a leftie is cause for outrage and justification for the re-election of a president whose base is chock full of hate filled racist themselves. These type of tweets and overt displays of racism should be denounced when they come from either side. As a person who is quickly drifting into the “old white man”category, this reporter’s tweet angers me. But I can say unequivocally that the volume of hatred and mean-spirited commentary among Trump supporters could fill thousands of threads here. It should be denounced both ways.

Additional and irrelevant comments...

*The money made, the education received, and effort made that allowed the purchase of these high end vehicles transpired under the administrations of both conservatives and liberals. Not that Obama ever stirred the racial bias thingy. IMO--he was the only racist of any President.

Hey look, it's our resident post-ideological intellectual, GK.

It's not surprising that you -- despite adhering to no ideology -- can't see the significance of the NYT defending and making excuses for a racist because she happens to not be caucasian. Had a white person tweeted a single thing she tweeted toward a person of color, they would have been fired immediately. The NYT wrote an editorial calling for ABC to fire Rosanne Barr, and what she said wasn't nearly as offensive as what their reporter wrote, on multiple occasions, spanning several years. No one is actually offended by what she wrote; I couldn't care less that she hates white people. The problem is the hypocrisy of the left and the media that carries their water. I can't support low taxes without being a racist, but this dumb cvnt can go on twitter and call for the extermination of white people and the NYT says "well, a white person said mean things to her once, so it's fine."

As for your commentary on the "irrelevant" things:

1. Rifle's new schtick is to pretend Trump supporters are beneath him, which is laughable. I'm just showing him examples of people who make a lot more money than him, are much more educated and successful and love the current president.

2. No one claimed that an expensive car made you a better person. Rifle is very materialistic, and showing him examples of Trump supporters with materialistic things he can't have bothers him. Just look how he reacted. He went in to "I'm still better than you" mode by claiming the cars and coffee was beneath him because that happens in "ghettos and WV," neither of which being true. But he has to tell himself that so he can continue to pretend he's better than "deplorables."

It’s ALWAYS about rifle.

Are there enough interesting cars in Huntington for a C&C? Seriously. Especially when the most liked cars tend to be vintage or really obscure.

Well, it's mostly a group of friends and acquaintances in Huntington who have German and Italian sports cars getting together to shoot the sh!t and talk about Trump being the greatest president in the last 100 years. Far from a sanctioned event.

It will be tough to decide which high-end dealership in Huntington to have it. Oh, it will be in a parking lot like I said?

Like-minded people? Pffft. As this video from a car website says, it is the complete opposite of like-minded people. Hell, this video was making fun of "cars and coffee" years ago:

https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-cu...every-cars-and-coffee-goes-exactly-like-this/

It’s interesting you passed on the Gallardo when a couple months you messaged me about getting an E Class Mercedes and your criteria for getting a car was (and I quote) “it will get me laid more.”

The laid comment was about the Maserati. And I was right. Driving a Maserati is entirely different than driving a Huracan (or "Hurrican" to deplorables). You can drive a Maserati, even in Podunk, USA, and not look like a total asshole. You'll get the "hey, that's a nice car" and can drive it for hours without being uncomfortable. A Huracan is almost always an obnoxious, attention-seeking color with a loud noise that doesn't blend in any city outside of Monaco. You can drive it for 20 minutes before you need a back adjustment.

The purpose of a Maserati is to get you from point A to point B in a nice car with some kick that many people use as a daily driver. The purpose of a Huracan is to seek attention, pretend that you can drive fast with it in a small city street, and is driven 300 miles per month.

Yeah, all of those out-of-towners passing through Ritter Park (please look out for the drugged-up car crashes in the Park) will come back to visit after seeing 4.5 souped-up cars hanging out.

Having a "cars and coffee" event with less cars than I have pubes is something for a town to be proud about?

I'm paraphrasing here, but they have suggested that people (or the electorate) have felt that many on the left (and often backed by many media outlets/"journalists") have told people that what they are seeing is not really what is going on -
.

Oh, really? Exactly like what cheeto just said, right?

.

Ha, exactly my point in my first response.

Yet you vote for, don't vote for, vote for a guy who is supposed to be leading this country who does the same thing. In your next frat meeting, you should skip the 90% of your exhilarating time spent talking about cheeto and discuss the word "hypocrisy."

1. Rifle's new schtick is to pretend Trump supporters are beneath him, which is laughable. I'm just showing him examples of people who make a lot more money than him, are much more educated and successful and love the current president.

New? I've been doing that for three years now. "Deplorables" sums up more than a person's net worth or education. It also describes their ethics.

2. No one claimed that an expensive car made you a better person. Rifle is very materialistic, and showing him examples of Trump supporters with materialistic things he can't have bothers him. Pfft. First, it is important to correctly define "materialistic." Liking nice things (whether it is a car, tits, or comfortable shoes) doesn't make one materialistic. Materialistic, used properly, refers to valuing tangible things (cars, tits, shoes) over values such as intelligence and altruism. And anyone who knows me - including based on even my posts on here - knows I value that last category more than the first category.

So if you want to claim to not be a deplorable, at least have the intelligence to understand the real definition of "materialistic."

Well, it's mostly a group of friends and acquaintances in Huntington who have German and Italian sports cars getting together to shoot the sh!t and talk about Trump being the greatest president in the last 100 years. Far from a sanctioned event.

"Hey, all seven of you. I am throwing some steaks on the grill tomorrow and getting some beer. You guys should come over and watch the game, talk shit about our wives, and jerkoff in each other's cars at my place."

That seems much easier, more enjoyable, and more convenient than meeting in a parking lot (or one of the numerous high-end dealerships in Huntington) . . . unless, of course, it doesn't allow you to get the attention that crowd is seeking.

Having a "cars and coffee" event with less cars than I have pubes is something for a town to be proud about?

I never once made reference to his specific cars and coffee meeting as something to be proud about. Instead, I mentioned people seeing that there are "educated, successful people who want to be there."

I agree with this. The attention seekers at meets are the guys with Lambos and Ferrari's. The gearheads tend to congregate around the obscure and really clean or unique builds. We would rather talk to the insane SOB that did this:

HONDA S2000 WITH A GODDAMN VIPER V10 IN IT
mgmlm0uqqavtkuymwdck.jpg

...because that took some skill, and takes considerable balls to drive, than some douche that just bought his "cool car".

Rox does get a break because he bought a P car, and not some "look at me" Italian piece of shit. Which reminds me: don't get a Maserati, they are pieces of shit.

I never once made reference to his specific cars and coffee meeting as something to be proud about. Instead, I mentioned people seeing that there are "educated, successful people who want to be there."

So how does showing cars off make a town proud of its "educated" people? Do they put their degrees on the outside of each car?

Which reminds me: don't get a Maserati, they are pieces of shit.

You're about four months too late for that.

Who can afford such things? Fvcktard hillbillies getting a disability check? Those working manual labor jobs who dropped out of high school?

Aka Dutch Miller Kia.

Off the top of my head, not counting celebs, I know five people (at least to the extent that I can text them) who own a Lambo or Ferrari. One is a college grad and in her thirties. One dropped out of college and is in his sixties. Another is in his forties and dropped out of college (I don't believe he has ever gone back). One is in his forties or fifties, and I don't think he went to college, but I am not positive. The last is in his thirties and definitely didn't go to college and may have not graduated high school.

So, at best, two out of the five have a college degree (I think it is just one out of five).

Sounds like spending way too much money, just to increase your chances at getting laid. I spent $46K on my last ride, and I'm able to jackoff any damn time I well please. If you really want to get laid, I suggest you get a jacked up pickup truck, and screw some damn nice looking country girls. Much better than the fake city girls, plus they can cook, clean, change the oil on your tractor, and fix stuff.

Can a twin turbo K car join your cars and coffee?
.

Only if 1) you wear a MAGA hat 2) have dark skin (it doesn't matter if it's due to race or ethnicity; they are just self-conscious about being labeled as a racist, so they try to befriend as many non-whites as possible)

It’s a Maserati, I swear.

If you can get that damn thing to run for an hour without catching fire, you are more than welcome around here. A well-sorted, running Biturbo? That's more rare than any Ferrari.

FWIW, it's no K-car. It's front engine, RWD, and Maserati had their own platform for these.
