Should not this fall under the constitutional mandate and directive on the Commander In Chief? Instead people are having to take it upon themselves to do this.

This is dereliction of duty at the highest level.

Instead the answer is to ask military personnel to not wear their uniform? Wait a minute. We are asking our men and women in uniform to take the uniform of their country off? Old men who once proudly served are taking personnel weapons and standing on guard duty?

You can't stop ALL of it. No matter what you do. But some of this is just insanity. Some people go ape over whites killing blacks, blacks killing whites, muslims killing anyone, pro birth bombing clinics, you name it. I can't remember any here suggesting that the marathons be protected with more armed personnel, or churches being protected by armed people standing outside the church, but let a soldier get killed and it's armageddon all over the place. Do you realize that some people react just exactly like the terrorists want them to, by living in fear. I refuse to do so.

The DOD during the Bush presidency issued the directive in 1992. The army implemented it in 1993. Neither of those presidents had anything to do with it as far as I know.
