Because many federal agencies affected are working without pay because they are considered “essential employees.” Shut down the TSA, Air Traffic Controllers, the Secret Service, the FBI, Customs and Border Patrol, the IRS and see if this nation doesn’t feel the pain.

Same as i do now. Pretty good. What are they going to go do? Give up a government gig with benefits that is guaranteed when the govt opens back up. They are not that stupid.

Can you imagine that? You have a government job. And, you quit one day to go work at Home Depot. That night the deal is brokered and everything is good by 8am the next day. Went from being a FBI agent to working in the paint aisle.
