Today's Charlotte Observer featured a very nice article on the Top G-5 schools for 2019.

1. Central Florida got the top nod, in spite of their winning record coming to an end in their Bowl loss last year to LSU.

2. Cincinnatti was mentioned as the team that "could win" it all in AAC, replacing CFU.

3. Boise State was predicted to win their conference [as usual] and receive national attention.

4. Appalachian State is predicted to win the Sun Belt [as usual] with a new coach since Louisville plucked Scott Satterfield and made him a Ky Millionaire.

5. MARSHALL received some nice press with Green and our offense receiving accolades. The article added..."The Herd" will need to find some replacements on the defensive side of the ball.

It is always good for The HERD
to get some national press....just like old times when Marshall was pretty well known (ESPN) across America.

Concluding, both Boise & Cincy dot The HERD's schedule and if you believe Summer sports publications...Appy State & Marshall will meet in the New Orleans Bowl in December!

Time will tell...........

USA TODAY had a similar article with Boise, Cincy and Ohio listed as G5 schools who should have very good years.
Appy and North Texas were mentioned.

We weren’t mentioned in the USA TODAY piece.

Oooops..I left out OHIO & N. Texas...
...the Bobcats make three teams on this year's HERD schedule. Will The HERD meet N. Texas in C-USA Championship game?

Can't wait for the Ohio and Cincy games. Even though they are non conference I think those are the two most interesting this year.
