Transfer Charles Moore

Well that’s good news.

Double happiness! also watching Neil Young and Crazy Horse doing down by the river live in 91.

He is also listed on our updated roster on herdzone as a RS Fr, so he comes to us with all of his eligibility intact, even though he did enroll at Auburn, he never played on the field.

Defense wins championships. Glad to have him as part of the program. Its also nice to see he is 6-4 and 275. Great size for a DE and good for us because we are usually undersized on the DL.

I'd be shocked if he plays here. If you look at his bio, he has a history of jumping around.

Looks like he didn't record a stat at OSU, probably the reason for transfer. Usually when you see somebody hop around like this it means they're looking for an easier path to playing time. Expectations should be reserved on this one.

Except for the 2020 Herd. Gotta score points to win!

It isn't what it looks like. When it was posted back in the fall that he had transferred up I read up on him.

Signing with Auburn was a surprise to a lot of people. Most thought he was headed to Mississippi State. According to one article he even "faked out his family" by choosing LSU. After NSD he realized he made a mistake and wanted to go to his original choice. So he enrolled at a JUCO with the intent to go to Mississippi State. What took him to Oregon State I am not sure.

An upper body injury prevented him from ever taking part in team activities at Oregon State and shortly after his arrival the Pac-12 announced the cancellation of the 2020 season. That's when he entered the portal again.

Now why he chose us I'm not so sure. I don't think this is a Kareem Canty deal where he just keeps switching schools for the sake of it.

I don't think if the Pac-12 had initially cancelled their season he would have left Oregon State. I'm assuming this upper body injury played some role in him coming here not to mention half the FBS wasn't playing football.

see my other post.

He didn't participate in the first and only spring practices this season as he was recovering from an upper-body injury per head coach Jonathan Smith, but even still, the move comes as surprising.
