Kiffin took a page out of the playbook of NC State. You can't tell me he didn't watch that tape and see NC State run those trick plays effectively on us. He did the same thing in the same situation. When NC State couldn't move the ball they went trick and went past us. That propelled them to victory. Same happened with FAU. And we fell for it hook, line and sinker.

My 8 year old would wear Doc and the coordinators out on Madden

Trick plays? Doc and Heater never saw them coming. Kudos however to Vedvik for the successful onside kick.

NC State just successfully used that same play against the #4 team in the country. Guess Clemson’s coaches never saw it coming either......***rolls eyes***

I predict The Herd finishes the 2017 season 6-7 should Doc accept a Bowl Bid? We have the raw talent...our staff can not coach them up. Our squad has no leaders and very little heart with little enthusiasm. Nothing like the proud players of the past in Huntington. It is frustrating for fans to continue to "pony up $$$" for Herd football and this is our return on investment. I am frustrated....CUSA is ho-hum football....not many players participate on Sunday from our league.

It’s called never taking your green glasses off because you can’t. How can anyone defend a coach that’s 18 games under .500 against teams with a winning record

How many of those games were lost while he was cleaning up Snyder and Kayo’s mess?

You’re the one that brought up his overall record, not me.

And you asked the question how many losses were due to Kayo and Snyder’s mess, my response has been stated already. As you asked another poster on another thread can you comprehend conversation?

This response makes zero sense.

I brought up Kayo and Snyder because you referenced Doc’s record since he took the job. Then when I essentially reference the same thing, you reverted back to the “past 8 weeks.”

Jesus, you are not capable of comprehending a conversation.
Doc- 13 wins vs 31 losses against teams with a winning record.
0-3 just this season
This has nothing to do with the Snyder and Kayo mess

It certainly does. Do you seriously believe Doc’s record in the first couple years wasn’t affected by Kayo and Snyder failures?

Wtf does that have to do with this season?
Wtf does that have to do with 3-9 last season?

You referenced his OVERALL record. You didn’t say, “Doc’s record the last two seasons.” You said, “Doc is 18 games under .500 against teams with a winning record.”

It’s not mathematically possible for him to be 18 games under .500 against teams with a winning record in the last two seasons. Therefore, their impact on Doc’s overall record is relevant.

Point is this, you can use the couple of years after Snyder to excuse his record. I only have to go back to September of this season to show his record is 0-3 just this year and it has nothing to do with Snyder, Kayo.

Then I suggest saying he’s 0-3 against teams with a winning record then.

Really, you want to go back that far?
I’ll go back 8 weeks, 0-3 against teams with a winning record just this season

I did multiple times

11 of the 13 wins against teams with a winning record came with Cato as QB. What's that tell you? Cato saved Doc and Leggs ass so many times.

Josh - I commend your enthusiasm for MU, I really do.
BUT - having watched my Herd since the mid-sixties (b1959), I have to say it: This team is a huge step back for the program. No game turns on one play, HOWEVER- why in the hell were the upbacks not coached up to know that if the ball is kicked short, you IMMEDIATELY down it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Which has the higher probability of success: the 3 ring circus we robotically ran regardless of field position, OR an offensive play with 4 receivers getting into the end zone on a Hail Mary?
You tell me..........I am done with this squad. I expect to lose the last 3, & I am not donating any additional emotional investment this season. It’s up to the AD to make the tough call here. Way above my pay grade. I am looking forward to b-ball, Dan believes in out scoring his opponent every time. Doc could learn something from that. The magic # to beat the Herd? 25 points. Do that & we lose.
Embarrassing performance last night. FAU is not all that - we just handed them the win.

Josh, using Doc's overall record against winning teams is actually to his benefit. If we just use post Cato his record is 2-9, worse winning percentage. Sorry, he is not a good coach. Probably not a bad man, but a bad coach.

Truth is, if not for Cato and Shuler and the implosion of CUSA v.2.0, his overall record would be sub .500. We weren't good before Cato and we haven't been good since. That tells you it wasn't the coaches that were responsible for 2013 and 2014.
