How many clothing factories are there in the US?
Trumps clothing line came out after the clintons sent a majority of the factories to mexicoVery few, because of people like trump.
Very few, because of people like trump.
Hillary Clinton and Oliver Luck are very similarEverything Hillary Clinton touches turns to shi*
So a meeting constitutes sending money??? Interesting thought process.

Doesnt look like any of those fit the bill for Trumps line. Here's one list of US based clothing manufacturers...

Of course not, they are American companies...Doesnt look like any of those fit the bill for Trumps line.
They dont make the same stuff as in the trump lineOf course not, they are American companies...

I think these guys would fit the bill quite nicely if Trump was interested in anything besides his own personal gain...http://www.hartschaffnermarx.com/#about
I do know a bit about the textile industry and manufacturing in general. I helped a start up operation and have been involved for the past 30 years in American manufacturing. Our company now employees nearly 200 folks using American made products. We didn't succumb to the temptation to go offshore to purchase cheaper materials because we believed in the "buy American" philosophy above a few points of profit margin. We have sales north of 50MM per year at a nice profit and share that with the employees. So yeah, I know a little bit about making goods in the USA... Yeah, I have done ok personally, but not at all costs and not ruthlessly!! While Trump has every right to run his company as he sees fit, don't preach one thing and practice another, pure hypocrisy!! Don't piss down my back and try to convince me it's raining Donald! You seem to know a lot about the apparel industry. When do you plan to open up a biz and capture a piece of this market share? Be careful though. Don't get to successful. Someone may complain about your ability to succeed as "interested only in your personal gain".
It's called "continuous improvement process". We are challenged on a regular basis to use good old American ingenuity and smarts to improve efficiencies and lower costs. Some are just too lazy to work at it or lack the willingness for change and innovation. It CAN be done!!You guys do realize that American Apparel is planning on moving much of it's manufacturing overseas???????????? It will be based stateside, but outsource production.
Costs to produce (anything) in this country are only going higher (thanks big govt). For the business to survive (some refer to this as "personal gain") less expensive means are necessary.
Bottom line, you want manufacturing here.....lower the costs to produce.
. Yeah, I have done ok personally, but not at all costs and not ruthlessly!!

Absolutely, automation has changed the face of most industry from manufacturing to mining. It has meant fewer jobs. Thats why is so critical to support American businesses, not take your business to China, Bangladesh or Mexico.Never said it couldn't be done. However, in the modern era...all of this means fewer workers in manufacturing. Especially when considering the costs of govt regulation and bureaucracy continually being added to a businesses P&L.
I don't need to know much more than him Using bankruptcy laws to screw creditors, taking people's homes by using his influence to get imminent domain declared, and taking his business off shore at the expense of American jobs to know most of what I need to know about Trump. That's quite well documented. What does Clinton have to do with this? I am not a fan of her either, she's not part of the equation we are discussing. That's an opinion you have of yourself. I cant say otherwise, because I don't know you. If you've done well...congratulations. Likewise, its probably safe to say you don't really know DT personally or professionally other than what the media is feeding you. Or, maybe it's Hillary actually pissing on you while you look for an umbrella.
Quite the opposite, greed. It's because of labor unions (which you despise), minimum wage advocates (which you also despise), and people like Hillary and Obama who are squarely responsible for the actual producers having little to no incentive to keep jobs like that here.
I broke my self imposed rule of ignoring you because you are that ignorant.
You should have stuck to your ignorant rule. You would have appeared much smarter. Of the top 10 economic nations, here is the collective agreement percentages. Your drivel doesn't jive with facts.
switzerland 51%
singapore 18%
u s 8%
finland 91%
germany 57%
japan 15%
hong kong <1/%
netherlands 81%
uk 25%
sweden 88%
Your idea of the best way to improve an economy is to find and use the lowest priced labor, a 3rd world approach. If any of those 9 nations had the resources and size of our economy, they would dominate us.
