Alright fifth graders. Please tell me the error of this statement.
Little Johnny fifth grader: Presidents don’t make laws.
That’s correct Johnny. Good job!
Isn't Presidents a proper noun? I think one could argue that. In this case it is specific to Presidents of the USA.“Presidents” shouldn’t be capitalized and there needs to be a comma before “Johnny.”
How’d I do?

While K.C. is helping you with grammar, perhaps you can get him to give you a lesson on the difference between debt and deficit.Alright fifth graders. Please tell me the error of this statement.

Not very well.
It is the first word of a sentence. Yes, it should be capitalized.
Wrong. After a colon, the first word is not capitalized unless it is a proper noun. You’d have a fair argument if it happened to be a direct quote, but since you didn’t use quotes (and since it wasn’t your argument), that isn’t the case.
Yes, “Flannery O’Connor” is the person’s name, which is a proper noun, hence it’s capitalized.
In my last post, I clearly stated that proper nouns were one of two possible times that there would be a capital letter after the colon. Did you not understand that?
Somebody previously posted that you went to law school. Is that true? If so, where? Did you graduate?
Wrong. After a colon, the first word is not capitalized unless it is a proper noun.
These dumb bastards incorrectly capitalized every word after every colon.

You have obviously never read scripts for plays or movies.
I’m not sure if you are being serious with this attempt or if it’s your version of throwing in the towel.
But we can come back to this. First, lets finish up your attempt at claiming that the capitalization of “Flannery” somehow validates your argument even though I had just finished stating that proper nouns were to be capitalized after a colon.
These dumb bastards incorrectly capitalized every word after every colon.

Here is the exact example of my original post.
Game, set and match. Not wasting any more time on your nonsense. Bye bye.
yas, yas, and i'm laughing bigly, too.People are laughing at you because you’re claiming that a movie script is proof that your grammar is technically correct.
