Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, Trump's pick for Surgeon General will be at odds with RFK Jr on certain vaccines & was an advocate for the Covid boosters. The more I read on her, the more comfortable I am with her than a few of Trump's other picks. But that booster-advocacy gives me pause.

There's a lot of ceremony with the position - but not entirely. I was on the HHS.gov website reading up on the priorities & roles of the office. It's a lot of communication & influence, including overseeing the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. If you go to their .gov site & read up on what they do, it's a lot of medical support & response across 50 states, especially with government operations.
