Am I the only one who thinks it's getting a bit late to post the FB television schedule for the season? At least after the ND game? If it's posted, I haven't found it yet.

Do you mean put the known TV info on our Facebook page?.. Or list the games that will be aired on Facebook?

Answer one -- TV isn't determined until 13 days prior to the event, unless a game is picked up by a national carrier. Notre Dame is on NBC, Louisiana is on ESPN, Bowling Green is on NFL Network.

Answer two -- We won't have any games shown on Facebook this year. All MU games as part of the Sun Belt are on an ESPN platform (mostly ESPN3/ESPN+ online). Norfolk State and Gardner Webb have already been placed on the ESPN3 schedule.

What we know so far --
9/3 - Norfolk State - ESPN3
9/10 - at Notre Dame - NBC
9/17 - at Bowling Green - NFL Network
9/24 - at Troy - TBD (on an ESPN platform)
10/1 - Gardner Webb - ESPN3
10/12 - Louisiana - ESPN

The Sun Belt doesn’t work like CUSA, with a set TV schedule announced before the season. Like Rhino says ESPN has until 13 days before a game to decide if it wants to show it, and, for Saturday games, when it will be played. If a matchup is unexpectedly good, then it might get picked up for an actual broadcast channel. All a part of complex interplay with all the other rights ESPN owns.

Here are the details:

Disney (ESPN,ABC) has the rights to every game the SBC plays in every sport.

As to football, at least 15 games must be shown on an actual linear channel (ABC, ESPN, ESPNU, ESPN2, ESPNews). The remaining games vs. I-A opponents will be on ESPN Plus, which is a pay internet service. Games vs. I-AA teams, will be produced at the team’s expense and shown on ESPN3, which is a free internet service. However, ESPN can sublicense games that were to be on ESPN Plus to the NFL Network, up to 2 per week. The championship must be on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2 and on a Saturday.

As to basketball, a handful of games will be on linear ESPN channels, the rest on ESPN Plus. Most games on ESPN Plus are produced at school expense, as are all other sports.
