Final decision on UABs conference status has yet to be made. I think there are some Presidents who feel the school may relaunch its football program. IMHO though, time to cut 'em loose.

I heard the Conference is going to give UAB 1 year to get their football program up and running. That's why Bill Clark is still technically the football coach there

UAB is a stain on an already underrated conference. CUSA and MWC are the top non communist conferences

I'd like for UAB to stay, even without football. Their basketball program has some national cache and helps our conference as a whole.

I like UAB BB in league BUT I prefer all sports league see you later UAB. To gut FB program and bring it back has to be one of the more stupid moves of all time

I am with you 88. As much as I like UAB no way we let them stay. We need to shrink by one or add another to the conference in a few years when we get the right school.

I didn't think it was surprising since they were 9-0 at home in C-USA play including a 20 point win over La Tech.

Also, they didn't beat ODU. MTSU did.

Oh hell no...

The 10 or so alumni who cared about football are going to rally the same 15,000 people who showed up for their final home game at the cruddy oversized football greatness graveyard that is Legion Field.

UAB has zero money they can raise because nobody cares about their football program...that whiny little bi.tch named Bear Jr, will sacrifice virgins to Satan because he already sold his soul, to keep UAB out of D-1.

Oh, and who in the hell is going to trust the program if they said,
"Hey, we got kicked out by overly powers that be...for 1 year, now we're back with an uncertain future...we will win 4 games a season with a fanbase who doesn't even know we exist! Play for us!"

I don't care if they're good at basketball, football is where the future is, and they don't have football...thus...no future.
