Just put out a social media about Jenkins Hall on campus. LMAO. I am wondering how long they will leave it up. He was a distinguished cavalry officer. Looks like he gave his life for his country as well.
Constructed in 1937, Jenkins Hall was named in honor of distinguished cavalry officer General Albert G. Jenkins. Today, Jenkins Hall houses administration, offices and classrooms of the College of Education and Human Services and includes a learning resource center, mathematics and science laboratories and the June Harless Center for Rural Education Research and Development. #marshallmonday

Albert Gallatin Jenkins (November 10, 1830 – May 21, 1864) was an attorney, planter, representative to the United States Congress and First Confederate Congress, and a Confederatebrigadier general during the American Civil War. The commander of a brigade of cavalry from what would become West Virginia, he was mortally wounded at the Battle of Cloyd's Mountain near Dublin, Virginia.
