VT has their man

Apparently VPI wasn’t looking for a coach with a 6-5 I-A record with no wins over a team with a winning record in a single year of coaching.

Really?

This guy’s dad played on the 71 -74 MU teams and was a GA in 75. The dad is a life time journeyman assistant, including stops at WV Tech, VMI, and West Liberty. Also was a HS coach at Lewis County. Currently at a HBCU.

I think the Dad is currently fishing.

I can’t help but laugh at all the dolts who actually thought VT was going to hire Huff after season number 1.
I mean really, whats the difference? At least Huff has been a HC while Pry has never been. Coupled with coming from an under performing team that turned 10-2 season into 7-5. I hope Pry does a good job, but to think it was far fetched Huff to be considered, needs some re thinking.

Huff is unproven, both as a HC and as a coordinator which is the logical step up from for a first year HC, that’s why. He was mentioned by one writer largely in part due to being from the region, and his recruiting. Which he did well at BAMA, but it’s BAMA it’s not that hard to recruit 5 stars there

Man I wish we had Doc and Chase Litton back. Those were the days.
