Doc sucked….and Doc would coach circles around Huff. Huff’s ceiling appears to be that of a position Coach. Whatever happened with Morrissey seems to have made Huff lose this team.
He lost the locker room and the players resent him. Why can’t people see this.
Doc didn’t suck, he was just alright. Huff said this wasn’t a rebuild and now we suck
Doc was a steady, solid 7 to 9 win guy... He just couldn't win the big games in CUSA, had too many WTF losses to bad teams, and after a decade his folksy Hurricane WV shtick wore thin.
Huff doesn't have to worry about winning "big" games because we aren't going to have any... 7-6 last year, and I don't know that there is a clear path to even match that record this year.

As a former coach I have seen this before. coach gets full of himself and then thinks his instinctive brilliant mind will take over. But it doesn't. It's narcissistic. It won't get better. They are usually very good talkers and very poor producers.
We won't be getting out of last place this year. If we are lucky we may pick up one more win against Georgia State in the last home game. We won't win another game before that.
Doc was an awful in-game coach. His first few years he out-talented everybody else. When recruiting fell off so did the results. I'm not sure he ever won a game where we had equal or worse talent.
