"We have a revenue problem"

Govt spending for 2025 is almost 50% higher than it was for FY 2020. I can understand the spike in 2021 and 2022 with COVID, but why has spending increased from $4.7T to $7.8T absent the pandemic over a 5 year period? If we spent $5.8T this year, a 20% increase (4% growth per year) we would have a balanced budget.

Over half of the national debt is the result of republican tax cuts. $20 TRILLION.
That's 55% of all national debt. If we add the 6.7 TRILLION spent during the orange jesus first administration, republicans are responsible for 74% of all national debt.
