What Bowl Do We Get?

Doesn't matter we are still going to Florida to either St. Pete or Miami to play an AAC team
there are a few really good G5 teams this year. we could end up with Navy, Houston, Temple, or Toledo (all currently ranked in the op 25).
we will probably take another ass pounding though... our 140+ ranked schedule has inflated our overall value i think......

Hate to say it Andy but all four teams you named will probably do a number on us.
Everything was all good just a week ago, now some say we have no heart! Wtf ever man. Still going bowling, Go Herd!
Toledo has no business in the playoff top 25. They proved it today by losing again. This time to another MAC team in Western Michigan. We may actually have a chance against them. The other two would kill us.
Don't know about that - i'm not saying they're a power house, but I'm a realist and Toledo would throttle US!
Depends on which version of us shows up. The one that played Southern Miss or today's greatly outmatched version.
After watching us lose 2 out of the last 3 I think we would be better off playing a Sun Belt team than a Toledo or Temple this year in a bowl. I am not trying to dis the team I am just sharing my honest opinion. I think the future is bright. However, the best path to a 10 win season is not against a big physical team that will dominate us in a bowl. Our best chance is against a finesse team IMO
It will be away from the Joan so I'm not overly excited. When we play teams that are as talented as us away from home we are a different team. I've never seen such a difference. If we play Toledo Temple Navy Memphis or a few other G5 teams I have a feeling it will be a long night.
Doc and staff should load up on Vaseline and bend over for whoever it is
Was that the same thought each of you had after we lost to Rice before the Military Bowl? Our fans get to high in the wins and too low on the losses. It cracks me up. We lost the best RB in the conference and top Tackle. We had some talented guys that worried more about themselves and got the boot and started a true freshman at QB and still won 9-3. In reality the odds were against us a lot stronger than most want to admit. I am not happy about how they came out and played today and the play calling but we had a great year and will go to a bowl and do well. It is what it is. We lost to a better team and will be fine in the long run.
Doc needs 12 home games and an offensive coordinator.
People are going to complain that we chicken out of playing legit teams...so if we followed your model, do not back off when people are critical.
However, you would love whoever we played...its an easy way out:
Schedule a weak team in the bowl...people complain we do not play anyone tough, call for Doc and Hamrick's heads, and then call the team selfish.
Schedule a big name team and complain that we will be murdered by them because of a freshman team and a 9-3 season...all in the name of being a "realist."
Honestly, schedule us a P5 school if possible...even a bad one. The schedule is about to pick up, better get used to it.
not sure what you are babbling about but my point is we are in a transition year. I would prefer to play a team we can beat and end the year on a high note. I will support the Herd regardless of who we play. Not sure who you think we are going to play in a bowl that will improve our reputation any.
We will get 3rd pick - so likely the St. Petersburg bowl.

LaTech will take HOD or the one in Louisiana (I am assuming La Tech beats USM tomorrow)

Give us the best of what we can pick...regardless of whom it is.
Win or lose, these guys gotta see the best to be the best.
Will be excited for the players no matter where we go or who we play. It's all about how many tickets will you guarantee & how many of your fans will come to town for 2-5 days and spend $$$$$. Am I the only who realizes this? Which of our possible opponents will bring more fans than us?
Probably Memphis, DEF not Toledo, Temple, Whooston, WMU, Navy......prob USF? But I'd bet they want to play somewhere else. MU vs USF.....Just be excited fellas. I would trade a shitload of past season records for 9-3.

I want ky to win 6 and the herd play them and beat the crap out of them. I catch crap from both sides but marshall football is in my heart very deeply.
I'd take HoD Bowl...it would shut up any doubters who think we won't play anyone.

We looked pretty bad at times yesterday, like terrible. The one thing I don't like is the bickering. Chad never said a word when guys didn't make plays, Litton should embrace that philosophy too.
Still a bowl is a reward for a good season and we had a good season in spite of many injuries and playing back ups.
Our bowl record is second to none, and I hope the team would embrace that record and defend it.

Unless LT doesn't want to play in Dallas for a second straight year. Or if WKU wins the championship, they may take the HOD Bowl. Especially if they can draw a Pac 12 or Big 12 school they have a good shot of defeating.

A trip to New Mexico against a MWC school isn't horrible. Better than playing a MAC school again.

Chad got pretty intense at times... I agree I think Litton needs to be cooler but so do his receivers

I hope we play a team with a really good defense. Litton needs to see a team that can fly around before his offseason preparation and eventually playing against Louisville and Pitt next year. Kent and WKU are probably the best two defenses he's seen this year and I don't think that says much.

That there is funny no matter who you are. And he's right, Chad wouldn't yell if a receiver dropped a pass but if he ran the wrong route or wasn't hustling, he'd be more than willing to rip his receiver a new one
Guys, can't say I've got a real preference one way or the other. I only believe that if we play any team with a high power/octane offense, like WKU, be they from the AAC or the MAC, we may be in DEEP DOO DOO. That is, unless DOC can persuade Billy "the Riverboat Gambler" Legg to go very deep into his Poca Junior High Play Book!!!!!
Agree, feel it would be a good match up, should draw a nice crowd and help with our recruiting efforts in South Florida.

We will be in a FL bowl yearly because of the amount of players we get from FL, the amount of alumni we have there, the number of fans we have that like to travel to FL and the fact doc recruits there so much.
But I don't get why we don't land the better talent over teams like WKU in that area.
