What do you guys think?

Would it make sense to do a 2-1 with some P5 schools we could beat? In order to beef up the schedule do you guys think playing a 2-1 with a Kansas or Northwestern would be worth it? If we did that, would that undermine our ability to get 1-1's? Over and over we debate playing another FCS school since it is hard to get P5's.Personally I think we could go on the road and win those games.Just a thought for discussion.

I'm with you Ohio but unfortunately Mike Hamrick is steadfastly against 2 for 1s. Have to convince him what the fans want.

Yeah I agree with this, in principle, although not as to the schools you mentioned. The 1-1 stance is probably foreclosing us from a lot of other scheduling opportunities, and we really don't have a lot of leverage to demand 1-1s with very many schools. That said, schools like Kansas or NW are not schools I would do a 2-1 with. But I'd do 2-1 with other, better P5s.

Completely agree.

We're getting 1-1s with Pitt, NCSU and Louisville. No reason to reach for equal (or lesser in KUs case) programs and offer 2-1s.

I'd gladly accept a 2-1 with "regional" P5 schools like WVU, Va Tech, UVA, PSU, etc. Not saying those schools would accept a 2-1 with us, just that I'd be okay if it did happen.

A 2-1 against a top tier or a regional opponent would be fine in my book. Otherwise, when possible, I'd like to stick to 1-1s.
