Its really not the fault of the running backs that our running game is lacking. Anderson kinda danced around at the beginning of the season but he started doing better. If we want a running game, our offensive line is going to have to step up and open holes. IMHO they are at the center of our offensive issues this year. Look what happens when they finally open a hole once or twice a game, or pass block so Chase isn't throwing off his back foot.I swear that Steve Cotton mentioned Petty being in on a tackle during last week's game. Believe it was his first action of the season. Isn't he the former player from the University of Maryland?
As for another player who hasn't played lately, I hope that the big running back, Anderson, who has been out with injuries, is well enough to get some playing time at USM on Saturday. We've really got to do something to kickstart our running attack, which should make our passing game more effective, IMO.
