Clown car debate tonight........It's been getting a little nasty the last few days.

Should be an entertaining evening.......

Seriously, can a real and truly serious candidate emerge tonight? Supposedly CNBC is promising that this debate will focus on the economy and actual plans.

It's like being stranded at sea.....Surrounded by water and not a drop to drink.

sounds like moderates, such as yourself, should start drinking their own urine to survive.

If being a realist makes me a moderate, so be it. Looks like the hard liners have been drinking the salt water and it's driven them mad.

"Realist"?

At no time in my life has the Republican Party been as diversified in their candidates beliefs, backgrounds, ideas, philosophies, etc.

There are social liberals, fiscal conservatives, religious, non-religious, social conservatives, fiscal liberals. They run the gamut. For a supposed "moderate" republican to go out of their way and complain more about the candidates in their own party vs LOL at the SOS "we are victims" Dem party, as you seem to always do, simply reinforces why I believe MOST "moderates" are not worth the effort. (Romney won the "moderate" vote.).

Their "moderation" ebbs and flows like a fart in the wind. They cry and whine about candidates with narrow views but demand that everyone in the party completely embrace all that they believe or else (they may take their vote across the aisle as proof of their "open-mindedness".)

Let's think about the Democratic Debate.

A communist. Enough said.

A woman who rode who husbands coat tails while he banged every whore in town and was getting head jobs from a college intern. She stuck with him. She takes up residency in New York so she can get elected. She never really accomplished anything other than sticking around while her husband banged everything in site. It is her turn! Now she is under investigation for two major items. She screwed her campaign up so bad the first time her own party took a younger newbie to replace her. He doesn't even like her.

A commie, and the benghazi killer. Either will beat whatever republican is nominated. What does that tell you about the quality of the republican candidates?

Tells me less about them than it does the makeup of our once great country. Unfortunately, it's populated with morons.

The fact that Bernie Sanders has not been laughed off the stage and that he has a legitimate shot to be a major party's presidential candidate tells me all I need to know about our electorate. The uninformed takers are now the majority in this country. If Sanders wins it will be the final death knell of this once great country. I would vote for Hillary a million times before I'd vote for that lunatic.

The "uninformed takers" take about half as much as the "informed takers". This tells me all I need to know about the "informed" part of the conservative base.

If you feel Bernie Sanders is a viable candidate for President then honestly you are a lost cause.

What doesn't make him a viable candidate? Because he wants change and reforms to help the middle and working class. They fact he doesn't believe the 1% should be in control of 80% on the countries economy? Anyone that would be against Women's right and social reform is a scum bag in my eyes.

This from a guy who referred to his girlfriend as a hot piece of Puerto Rican Ass............How is that for respecting Women?

The "change and Reforms" he proposes have been done multiple times throughout history. He is nothing new or different. Hell, he sounds like Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung Un, Lenin. Not far from Castro......I could go on. He sounds EXACTLY like them. And of course we know exactly what their countries became and/or continue to be. (maybe they didn't teach that in NY schools)

Definitely said Mexican. And he definitely sounds more like FDR. I wonder how America became after the new deal

Bernie is nothing like FDR. FDR wouldn't be seen with a guy like Bernie. Bernie would be cleaning FDR's floors, shining his shoes and only allowed to go in or out the servant entrance. FDR was a 1%er. FDR was more like a Hillary or Obummer: Distributing a few freebies to the serfs in order to make them feel good, meanwhile doing everything possible to protect their own financial fortunes. He was exactly who Bernie wants to eliminate.

What happened after FDR became President??? World War 2. Over 300K US military deaths.

It's more diverse because there are 14 freaking candidates!!!!!

I actually thought last night was a big win for Republicans......I thought as a whole they steered away from social issues and stuck to the economy.

A few even admitted that Climate Change is affected by mankind.......Graham and Kasich were the only ones that came right out and said it but they weren't thrown to the ground and beaten for saying it. Christie nearly sh!t his pants when Kasich brought him in as a fellow Climate Change supporter......Christie did a great job of handling it though, he didn't deny his support but offered other ideas and solutions.

Christie is actually a candidate who can paint himself as a non-PC outsider with conservative economic beliefs.......We'll see if the far right let's him off the hook for his Climate Change stance.

It's time to cut the herd........Still want to do 2 debates? Fine.......4-5 in the short bus debate and 5-6 max in the main debate.

The quicker you get to a smaller debate size the faster Trump and Carson will be exposed.......I thought while entertaining, they were terrible last night.

I personally thought Christie, Rubio, and Fiorina had the best night.....Cruz had some good moments.

Bernie Sanders view of how the economy works and his economic plans are complete and utter jokes. As I said the fact he is considered a viable candidate is depressing.

I really hope Hillary wins the Democratic nomination, because I don't feel a Republican will ever win the White House again. The country is now made up of predominantly takers. What can the govt give me type of people. The Republican economic platform will never appeal to them. Hillary is not a boarder line Marxist she's a liberal and she will increase spending and government programs but at the end of the day she at least understands how our economy works and will have plenty of Bills people around her who weren't bad the first time around. Compared to lunatic Sanders, Hillary is William F Buckley economically.

Its sad and hilarious at the same time. Its hilarious watching him try and explain the economy, sad that the financially illiterate who support him, believes his incompetent suggestions that will "fix" it.

What is wrong with a diverse group of candidates early on in the process? I've been told for years that Repubs only run old white guys. I thought diversity of people and their ideas was what you moderates wanted in order to show the ability to be open minded??

It shouldn't be a surprise they stuck to economics.......the debate was on a business news channel with business news correspondence asking the questions.

I don't see last night changing too many peoples minds though. I do believe it is time to narrow the field a little. Kasich, Christie, Carly, Bush, etc aren't even on the radar, poll wise. Time for them to move on.

Are you somehow blaming FDR for WW II??? That's some crazy talk there.......

Everyone make the republicans for having moved so far right well the democrats have gone even further left and no one says a word.

Are you somehow blaming FDR for WW II???

Is that what you think I said??

I stated a fact regarding history... following an assertion that America became a utopian social peace land of wealth and prosperity for all because of FDR. Beyond the 300k American lives lost, some also seem to forget the rationing of goods and services which left women and children hungry in this country, and the racist actions of FDR rounding up and placing all Japanese Americans in prison camps. Fairness and equality for all.................

With that said, since Fever believes FDR is "like" Bernie... Which country will attack us first after he wins, and what race/nationality of people will Bernie send "camping"?

I never said there was anything wrong with a diverse group of candidates......That's the problem with the Dems. HRC and Bernie.....That's all you've got? You've had 8 years and that's it?

Regardless of the question, that's never stopped Tea Party backed conservatives from veering into religious and social issues. Last night they stayed on topic for the most part.

For the next debate:

Main - Rubio, Trump, Carson, Cruz, and Christie/Fiorina (Who ever got the largest bump from last night)

Kids Table - Graham, Kasich, Huckabee, Paul, and Christie/Fiorina (Smallest bump)

On about 11/10, the GOP needs to put it's foot down and say, "if you not polling above 5% you have to move out of the way". Paul, Kasich, Fiorina, Christie, Santorum, might throw a fit but so be it. Reality check!

It is what you implied with your question......In the context of the discussion.

"What happened after FDR became President??? World War 2. Over 300K US military deaths."

Which is historically inaccurate.......The rest of the above would be accurate.

Bernie is the Crazy Uncle.....He actually serves a purpose in Congress but as a Leader/President.....No thanks!

liberterian here, but just want to say you're blasting the dems for only having hrc and bernie, while after 8 years, in a "must-win" election, your best shots right now are trump and carson, two guys who have never held political office in their lives? that's some rich irony.

Trump and Carson aren't happening.....Once the field narrows, they'll be exposed.

Yeah because "politicians" have done such a great job lately. And no that's not an endorsement of trump or carson

i won't disagree with your first point, but seriously, right now the republican top two candidates are DONALD TRUMP AND BEN CARSON! let that sink in...

That word "socialism" gets you cons worked up doesn't it? Do a little research into what a democrat socialist is. Let's do a national poll and see what the American people think about public education, social security, medicare, medicaid, women's right to vote, child labor laws, consumer protection laws, minimum wage, the right to form unions, public work programs to create jobs for the unemployed, and progressive income tax. All "socialist" ideas. Those programs were radical at the time they were implemented, but not now. Bernie Sanders is basically a 1960's democrat in philosophy. Hardly scary.

Cool...all the laws and bureaucracy which raised the cost of operating American business opened the door for cheap labor overseas. Genius.

Finally Greed admits to something.

So WW2 didn't start after FDR became president and +300k military deaths didn't occur? Just take the comment for what it is.......historically accurate.

That's interesting because I too have been waiting for multiple presidential elections to see a Libertarian candidate worth considering. Decades of Dems and Repub politicians in charge and yet again, another presidential election rolls around, and.............crickets.
